Ok, I've just swapped my LME49720 for a AD8066 and I'm loving it!

iBasso D2 Mods + Opamp Rolling

hi all, Would like to share what I have done with my iBasso D2 and perhaps find out what combinations you guys are using. Changed the silmic caps to Blackgates and Cerafine, I prefer the sound of Cerafine as it is brings in a sense of dynamics/liveliness. Silmic to me has always been...

Has anyone heard of an older Denon CDP...DCD S10

Have you had any experience with Zhaolu D2.x? The Denon DCD-S10 is a good transport and connected to Zhaolu, it will serve you very well. You will need to change the LT1057 to OPA627 using browndog adapters though.

Has anyone heard of an older Denon CDP...DCD S10

I assume you are asking about Original version. There are actually the Original version, Mk I (slightly different), Mk II and Mk III. You would need to mod it extensively for it to sound really, really good. Headphone circuit is basic, nothing much to clamour about. Almost all the E-Caps are...

Importing Sony MDR-D22SL "Eggo" worth it?

Do yourself a favour and get the D66 instead. There is no worth in importing the D22 and having to pay for the shipping as well.

    Any Denon DCD-S10II user here?

mfhboy, I'm from Singapore and not too long ago, an S-10 MkII was sold for S$650 or around 375USD in the local forum. This may not be a good gauge as it only applies to my local market, where such players are pretty much sought after. I understand that Pioneer and Denon players are...

Oustanding Chinese Headphone Amp: Cayin (Spark) HA-1A [Review]

The Philips HP900 is the only pair of low-impedance cans I have and I don't remember hearing any audible hissing noise from the HA-1A using the current tubes. I do have some spare JJ and Ei EL84s so perhaps I can try it later. It is, however, common to hear hissing noise when using...

Oustanding Chinese Headphone Amp: Cayin (Spark) HA-1A [Review]

hi all, I've been using the Cayin HA-1A for well over 2 years and I've posted a review here, probably 2 years back. You'll probably be able to search for it. As for the noise that Ferbose is hearing on low-impedance cans, that's something that I didnt' hear on my low-impedance pair of...

    Any Denon DCD-S10II user here?

hi mfhboy, I've bought the MkI recently but it's at the Denon Service Center now as I'm replacing the faulty servo IC. Probably will get it back in a week's time. If you don't mind waiting ... IIRC, your S10 MkII should have: - Dual transformers, possibly with one serving the analog...

Two simple questions about Sony SCD-XA9000ES

This link brings you to the X5000 instead and you can clearly see that it's the disc and spindle that moves and not the optics. http://www.vt52.com/diy/setup/cdp-x5000/x5000.htm
