Question for those of you with "perfect seal", do you feel a nice suction/pressure when you insert your IEM? I still am not sure if I have a perfect seal or not. With my Westones 4, I would feel pressure once I inserted my monitors and hear a pop when I removed the monitors, I could really feel...- MKang25

One, thing I can say after owned these for ~3 weeks is that, it needs about 100+ hours of burn in. They sound much better. Silver cables coming in a week so excited to try those out.- MKang25

I find that the tape mod takes away to much of the bass and the soundstage taking away what makes the IE80 the IE80.- MKang25

Quote: Thank you for this. I guess this is why some of the live recordings sound better and uncongested than the studio recordings. I guess the congestion was less with the W4 because there was less bass?- MKang25

Quote: What do you mean by where the music was before conversion. Wouldn't all conversions to 320 MP3's have to have been from a higher bit rate sample? I.E from a 450 -> 320, or lossless to lossless.- MKang25

Quote: I guess ill try the tape mod. I use 320 MP3s, so I doubt going up to lossless would do much. I've never used full size before. I need portability and it seems that any full size headphones that would compete with the high end IEMS are all OPEN which wouldn't work to well in public. ...- MKang25

I listen to rock music about 40% of the time so its a big deal. Theres something about rock songs where...- MKang25

I just got the JVC tips that were recomended here and they are a lot better than stock, still not perfect though. The medium tips are a smidge smaller for there to be a perfect seal, Hoping the large will do the same. To this date, the only tips that gave me the PERFECT seal, perfect enough to...- MKang25

New owner of the IE80's and I like them a lot. For some reason I also considered dynamic drivers to be "inferior" to BA's which is clearly not the case. I am switching over from the W4, which I thought was a brilliant IEM but it sounded to boring for me. The IE80's are so much more fun while...- MKang25
