Wow, this is painful news for me and makes the Maxwell a no go. Disappointing.

I've had my Clears for about 5 months now. I've never really noticed any warmth to the bass and certainly haven't noticed the bass intruding on the mids.

No, not to anyone. Look at the FR. That curve is not neutral in any way. Elevated bass, recessed mid range, elevated treble. It's not a neutral curve and it's not intended to be. It's intended as a preference sound.

The FR of the curve itself is in no way neutral sounding though.

The Harman curve isn't in any way neutral, it's a preference sound that Harman believes most people prefer.

Sub bass is definitely not absent on the Clear.

Higher output power, not necessarily higher performance.

Might be the first person out there that I've seen say the Aeon isn't comfortable. Also, red is for right, pretty common with cables.

I find most omega stands work well. The pads don't really tend to compress much, depending on how they clamp of course. My Clears sit nicely on my stand and it doesn't put much force on the pads.

Can't go wrong with either choice! I like the silver, it matches well with the Clears. The black is nice as well, but I thought the silver volume pot looked a little strange in pictures. Lots of people like the black coloring though. I personally think the Asgard 3 is a pretty good pairing with...
