Falling in love, out, and back again: the HD600

Falling in love, out, and back again: the HD600
The HD600 (to me !) are the best hd6*** as they change in tone with every different song i play much much more than the hd660s2 hd650 does . When i had the hd660s2 they sounded the same playing different types of music ...It's like the tone of the headphone never goes away your stuck with it on...- lost&confused

Luckily i've never had that problem only with cables breaking under the strain relief at the headphone socket connection ... the problem you talk about with springs failing is why i sold my cardas cable as i didnt wanna risk it . I did once snap the very thin wire on an old hd580 driver once...- lost&confused

I've only tried a few aftermarket pads but none of them sounded good as stock. The ones I've tried are Elite Velour and these sounded horrible with the hd600 the yaxi pads were better but not as good. Saying this tho I prefer the sound of the stock pads when they go flatter ....but then I hate...- lost&confused

Headphone recommendations under $300, preferably planar magnetics. Or if possible, ways to give an oomph to my HD600 sub-bass!
If you are using a Windows PC get the Creative ZxR soundcard and use the older sbx pro software (not the new sound command software ) Then you have of 24db ...HD600 sound awesome with this card and it will blow away what you have now and you can keep the hd600 Just use the eq without the sound...- lost&confused

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
Hello , Has anyone ever tried fitting one of the Beyerdynamic headbands to the HD600 like the TYGR 300R headband ? I've gone through so many of the sennheisers hd600 and hd650 headbands over the years and even tried an aftermarket gel one from the company who make those fancy wooden headphones...- lost&confused

Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
My 1st impression are they are better than the hd650 for me.. i wasn't a massive fan of hd650 tho i much prefer the hd600 The sound is more powerful and it sounds like a in-between hd650 hd600 more so hd650 ..in the middle. It's missing the lovely treble sparkle of the hd600 have and mids are...- lost&confused
