    SRH840 impression

I see comparisons to the dt770 80ohm, how about the dt770 consumer edition (250 ohm). I was going to pick up the 770 consumer edition but opted to wait and see what people thought of the 840s.

Newbie looking for easy to drive closed headphones

Personally, Im waiting on the new Shure line to see how those contend with the likes of Beyers dt770 05 edition. They should be out in July.

Possible to replace pads on sennheiser hd555-595?

Yes, you can buy new pads for the 555 and 595 series through sennheiser. I just ordered mine 2 weeks ago, I think I paid 12 bucks for a pair (could be wrong). The part numbers are not listed on their site, so you have to call.

    Benefits of angled drivers?

i was actually considering the Beyer 770 05 edition or the new Shure 840s, however i know the Beyer isn't angled and I doubt the Shure is either. I will look into the a700's though. Any other closed phones with angled drivers? I suppose I could venture into the $300 territory since I dont...

    Benefits of angled drivers?

Hmm. Was kinda hoping that the angled driver thing was more of a gimmick than anything. My selection is pretty much 0 for a closed can with angled drivers in the sub $200 range so it seems.(correct me if I'm wrong). Ide be curious to hear other peoples results with this mod. I would prefer...

    Benefits of angled drivers?

I currently own a pair of hd595s which have angled drivers. These have been used mainly for music and heavy gaming. I always thought the angled drivers helped with positioning in games since things seemed to be presented in front of me. I am looking for a closed alternative to these...

Coming from hd595 - looking for a closed alternative

I think the dt770 80ohm are the pro edition. the consumer one is 250ohm (correct me if im wrong) which is a bit concerning to me if im running without an amp. The consumer edition is also roughly $100 more, the dt770 can be had for relatively cheap right now which is a huge plus.

Coming from hd595 - looking for a closed alternative

Hey all, Ive been a proud owner of the hd595 for quite some time, however I recently broke them :O so I am looking for something else. My room has a lot of ambient noise (loud fan + computer) and I live with relatively loud roomates, so I'm looking for something that will isolate. I did...

    Sennheiser CX400 (or CX500) vs. Denon AH-C551K ?

i haven't heard the cx400's personally, but i can certainly vouch for the c551 as i just recently picked myself up a pair. For $65 on amazon you cant go wrong, i highly recommends them

    JVC Marshmallow Question

im using e2c tips as well, the black rubber ones. I pulled the plastic sleeve off the fx33's in order to get them on easier. Even without the tubing they fit tighter than they did on my e2c's.
