Sony MDR-Z7M2 Headphone Thread
Yea totally agree. That stock pads get hot and sticky. I've noticed that the Z1R has different ear pads that don't get as hot. Thanka for that input and I have a much better understanding of what I'm working with.- Jtom94

Sony MDR-Z7M2 Headphone Thread
The MDR-Z1R is a little bigger and heavier than the Z7M2 and the latter fits my head better so it's a little bit more comfortable. Sound wise that Z1R is a little too warm and laid back than I would like. Technically the Z1R are better in almost every way but there is just something about the...- Jtom94

Sony MDR-Z7M2 Headphone Thread
Thank you so much this is really helpful. I now have a picture of what I'm working with and the sizes of the holes and the position of the screws. Sony MDR-Z7M2 Headphone Thread
I did and they said they don't repair any headphones themselves and referred me to a 3rd party service called united radio. The I called and they quoted me a flat fee of $70. Who I did the math and it would have costed somewhere in tht range of $220-$250 for replacement earpads, service and...- Jtom94

Sennheiser Q&A: HDV 820 Digital Amplifier
Can someone please help me. I'm soooo confused. I don't understand how to do all the conversions and calculations. If you have both the HDV820 and HD800S what should the gain setting be set at? There are 5 options but I'm not sure which one it's supposed to be set at.- Jtom94

Focal Utopia General Discussion
Does anyone know how much replacement drivers cost for the Utopia? I'm on the fence and I want to know what I'm getting into before I make the leap. The warranty is 2 years but at 4k it's something I plan on keeping for much longer than 2 years.- Jtom94

Best Alternatives to the Sony MDRE828LP/SLV (Non - In Ear)
I love these Sony MDRE828LP/SLV because they were relatively cheap ($10) and they sounded really good. I usually bought them at Target or OfficeMax but lately I couldn't find and I learned they were discontinued by Sony. I bought the Sony Earbuds Headphones (MDRE9LP) - Black instead as a...- Jtom94
