Correct for switch on but while what you said sounds intuitive for switch off, this is in fact dangerous for connected headphones. If you switch DAVE off first you can get a loud bang through the headphones. I don't get this if I switch off Blu first.

I don't think this is a replacement for the Arche at all. It's a totally different SKU. The reason I suspect Arche is not available is down to the lack of AKM DAC chips since its factory fire. This has caused a number of products to be discontinued.
