Honestly I have had no issues with the capacitive controls. Maybe I'm just a better swiper! Lol- jonstatt

T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
I find the volume goes loud enough for all my music I tried. But there certainly isn't much headroom. Some headphone manufacturers work around the EU restrictions by enabling it by default but having an off switch in the menus. From what I understand, the legal requirements state it must come...- jonstatt

T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
I quoted two people in my post. The other poster said it was the strangest thing he had heard. Apologies for the confusion. Other reviews are saying the same thing now. I actually think these headphones are quite special. But the price point means they are always going to be controversial and...- jonstatt

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
Chord no longer host a special android 10 version. And I tried new app installs on ios and android . BUT all of a sudden the app is telling me 1.50 is the latest. So looks like Chord pulled the latest release- jonstatt

T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
I never said indistinguishable. I said they sound similar by which I mean the tonality , timbre etc. I just listened again and I stand by that. Of course there is a difference but they are closer, in my opinion, than I would have expected. If you think that's the strangest thing you have...- jonstatt

T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
I've had the Solitaire T for about 36 hours now thanks to Phil at Audio Concierge. Overall I am very impressed! I have a lot more experiments to do but I will say sound over Bluetooth beats anything I have heard to date. I have silly amounts of IEM TWSs and the H95. The Matk Levison I...- jonstatt

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
I haven't updated the 2go firmware in a very long time but today I tried. It went up to 1.5.0 perfectly ... But then I'm stuck! It wants to download 1 5.3 but fails immediately I think 1.5.3 may have been removed from Chords servers since 1.5.7 released. I tried factory reset, ios and...- jonstatt

New oBravo Ra C Cu model 21.5
I just received a brand new version of the Ra C Cu knows as model 21.5 . They look visibly different to previous versions. Firstly as you can see from the picture, the copper is very bright, shiny and free of the micro scratches of previous versions. They look stunning but there is a special...- jonstatt

Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP
Just received the black version of the r01. It really needs burn in. Initially all I could hear was bass. Now opening up just a couple of hours later.- jonstatt

Chord Electronics - Blu Mk. 2 - The Official Thread
Correct for switch on but while what you said sounds intuitive for switch off, this is in fact dangerous for connected headphones. If you switch DAVE off first you can get a loud bang through the headphones. I don't get this if I switch off Blu first.- jonstatt

Focal Arche: Anyone compared to other options in its price range?
I have Dave / Blu II right next to Arche. Arche is definitely not as detailed BUT Arche has more character and with Utopia in particularly gets this warm but detailed full bodied sound that hugs you emotionally in a way Dave doesn't. Dave is accurate, reference, revealing but lacks personality...- jonstatt

Moon Audio will love this as they will get a load of orders for short xlr female to male cables to bring the socket to the front- jonstatt

Focal Arche: Anyone compared to other options in its price range?
They may have released it at the same time as ending the Arche but it is not Class A to the same power levels at low impedance , it doesn't seem to have optimised presets for focal headphones, and adding the streamer is actually a detractor for me. Glad I got Arche before it disappeared. Uniti...- jonstatt

Focal Arche: Anyone compared to other options in its price range?
I don't think this is a replacement for the Arche at all. It's a totally different SKU. The reason I suspect Arche is not available is down to the lack of AKM DAC chips since its factory fire. This has caused a number of products to be discontinued.- jonstatt
