Tip for people whose 1266 O-rings keep breaking. This drove me batty, so I ditched the O-rings and used some thin paracord I had lying around. Works great: It fits in the slots where the O-rings are supposed to go and doesn't stretch or break, and I could tie loops the exact size I wanted.

I would argue that if it doesn't matter enough to be audible to a given person, it doesn't (or shouldn't) matter to that person. You can replace the O rings on Amazon, etc. Search this forum -- lots of people have. IMO the O rings are a really chintzy approach for a TOTL headphone (they break regularly), but it is what it is.

I just bought a pair of Sony wireless WF-1000XM5 headphones. I thought they sounded pretty good, and then I listened to my 1266s. :beyersmile: (I understand the Sonys sound fine for wireless headphones. But still, the 1266s kind of took the sheen off of that purchase.)

I have a Node and Roon. They work great.

I'm just getting into Roon and haven't figured everything out yet. So the software in the Nucleus can resample before outputting to the Node, or would I have to bypass the Node and connect the Nucleus directly to the A16? Also, shouldn't 16/44 files work on the A16's coaxial input at least?
