Abyss TC is my one and only headphone. It lays nicely on my Abyss headphone stand, and I listen to them only and only when I wear my Abyss underwear.

Synergy.

I bought the Abyss Superconductor underwear. Super synergy, and the ergonomics are amazing! You’re a fool to wear anything else.

not so sure about that at the moment ….at least here in australia anyway

imho don’t look at their resell value - these are a love em and keep them option, as many do
It’s hard to sell anything expensive these days. The cost of living crisis has affected the whole world more or less.

I meant not so much the possible resell, but the fact that the Ab1266 has consistently held the title of the best headphones for years. Top models of other companies are being replaced by newer and newer ones, but the Abyss with minimal changes is still in the lead.

Diana TC seems like a better buy for Australia honestly. $7700 vs 10280. Or Susvara at $7500
I agree re the susvara being a better offer that you can pick up for around 6.5k new. But that is of course ignoring personal preferences

but at this level i guess we are drawn to what floats our boat the most - be it susvaras or tc others.

and we (or at least for me) can be a little less price sensitive when wanting something that is close to our ideal

A little question for Superconductor owners : Have you found a splitter or a trick to tighten the two parts of the cable, as it may exist on other cables ?

Initial impressions:
  • Sound is weird
  • Fit is weird
  • There is something in the bass...
Next steps:
  • Mold my head to make TC fit it
  • Learn from masters
    • Build a TC playlist
    • Learn all the tips and tricks
    • Try to understand why people praise TC

Various impressions here and there may make Abyss TC feels like a Demigod headphone. Very understandable. AB1266 TC definitely one of the best performer out there, but the actual differences with other TOTLs are not that far, and may surprise some people when finally listen to AB1266 TC after read all of that glorious impressions.

Not to mention AB1266 TC is very set up dependant too, that add a factor for more various impressions.

Yep - and this has been posted a couple of times and won’t move at close to half that price

I got even better offer 2 months ago here in local market, secondhand TC with superconductor mint condition, half the price of brand new. Have to passed the deal due to comfort and fitting issue though. Sound sublime as always.
