As long as open head phones at a moderate volume are going to be quieter outside my home office than my m-audio monitors at a low volume we'll be OK.  I just want to listen to music/podcasts at a decent volume, in comfort while being somewhat aware of ambient noise.  Some of the suggestions...

Just got the M6 from this offer, oh and a car USB charger - but I already have two of those.  Haven't listened to them yet, but the tips seem a little on the cheap side, curious to try out the triple flange from an isolation point of view.

I have a pair of UE MetroFI 170v that aren't that good for much of everything.  I was wondering if they'd still work if I cut one of the buds off completely - just snipped the wire.  I'd leave the side with the mic on of course, and then they would serve a purpose for me.   Thanks.

Thanks, just ordered these.  Were cheap enough to take a gamble.  If they don't do the job I'll look at Etymotics or something else with more tip option.  Hoping to get something that goes on a little quicker than Comply foam..

Can anyone recommend a double or triple flange tip for these?  I find that the small silicon tips and the comply's that came with them isolate about the same, but the silicon is a little more convenient.  So I'm looking for something that may isolate a little more than either of those.   Thanks.
