Thanks...just a heads up guys, when colorware says metallic on the paint options, what they really mean is a little bit of pearl. When I hear metallic, I'm thinking "gun metal" flakes in there. It's nice though. Or maybe some colors are metallic and only a few are pearl...

So my hd800 came in today...the paint job that colorware does is excellent! I was looking at it with the lights reflected on to see if there were imperfections or runs...non that I could see. I also couldn't see any scratches or damages from the rebuild after paint. I think the pic doesn't look...

I actually emailed Centrance and they said the m8's dac is superior to that in the ak100.

If your only planning on pairing up the m8 with an iriver dap then might as well save you money and get the ak100 since the m8 bypasses the AK's dac.thats a few hundred dollars saved.unless your gonna use the ak120 on its own with another portable amp...

If you have a lot of music on your memory cards, especially if you have 2, the ak100 needs to load them before you can have access.it only loads it when you turn it on, which takes a few seconds, then you don't need to load anything until you turn it off and have to load it again when you turn...

After reading all the good reviews and stuff, I pulled the trigger and purchased the lx with iem mod.plus this would give my ak100 more play time than just sitting in a drawer.i emailed Centrance and they said even with the low gain mod it should still have enough to push an hd800 to adequate...
