Which ones to keep? HD6XX, AKG K7XX, Shure SRH-1840, HE4XX
Yes, agree.. I could have bought a display model but I saw 1) Cracked veneer 2) the headphone connector was not working properly on one side, when moving you could hear cuts.... So I guess the v2 addresses those, but at 3k I think it's, is just insane... beside, I get to enjoy open designs less...- damianmb

Upgrade path from Burson HA-160D?
Hello, I have this DAC/Amp combo... I'm wondering how much better I can get after this. I do love that it has multiple inputs (I use currently only two of them) and looks nice and solid. I know the DAC section is the weak one and I do have a Dacport LX connected to it, so the sound comes...- damianmb

Which ones to keep? HD6XX, AKG K7XX, Shure SRH-1840, HE4XX
Hello guys, I have these open headphones and wanna know your opinions about keepers. I do listen to music and nothing professional. I'm mostly feeding them from a Burson HA-160D, Dac sometimes switched to a Dacport LX (sound gets cleaner) and occasionally from my mac on a DragonFly Red. Shure...- damianmb

Build Quality You cannot expect to pay 400 USD for a NC wireless headphones, then after a couple of uses you can hear creaks all over, thus defeating the NC itself. I would avoid these because of quality issues.. I have Bose QC15 with years of use, I only had to change the earpads, the rest is...- damianmb

Denon AH-MM400
Thanks.. i gently pulled them off and were easily removed, putting them back is a little trickier. The 1840 are way too big for them.- damianmb

E-MU Wooden Series Headphones
Thing is, at least from the pictures, I don't like the look of the teak wood. According to this http://www.lawtonaudio.com/type3woods.html it should give a natural tone. For the pics I've seen, E-MU is miles away from the Lawton quality, but again... I would never pay like 450 usd just...- damianmb

E-MU Wooden Series Headphones
I asked Emu also and I'm quite confused about the wood selection and also the price seems went up a lot? Teak headphones with detachable cable are 500. Cups: $120 for Ebony, Palo Santo $100 for Rose, Mahogany, Purple Heart, Sabili, Zebra He suggested to take Teak + Ebony to...- damianmb

It's just amazing he has a HD800 and does't even use a proper DAC. To be honest it's a useless review. I'm still more surprised you bought a O2 with 0 knowledge...- damianmb
