Yeah might be. Its a socket converter, slightly larger (in radius) than the one att   ached to the cable. One of the four in the picture.

This is not entirely true as ifi iPower 9V 2A works very well with the amp and 230v voltage (tried for quite a while now). The only thing thats needed in between is the round power converter that comes in its packaging, nothing to do with the polarity inverter at all.

Yeah true, if that's what your comparing to.   But sometimes it really depends on what aspect you take, as this series of device has been attracting heaps attention among portable hifi/recording people across the world.

Where did you get that from? Neva and Eva would be a happened thing. In fact, they have basically nothing shared in common, (not really, both are headphones, and are both Sony) That's it. And IMP, cd900st is much much more better.

And all above like K550s & HD598s stuff are good within this price range. Or get a mint HD600 may take you to a next level of can-listening.
