Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

The M1060 v2's use a standard flush 2.5mm connector where the HD700's use an extended 2.5mm connector. So as long as you don't mind the connector not being flush any HD700 connector with a balanced cable will work.

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

I actually own some of these for my HD700's they are super nice and not too overpriced.

Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones

I have a pair of those Audeze pads already.  Did you have to glue them back onto the 1060's? Do you have any pictures or explanation as to how you attached the new Audeze pads?  I don't have the 1060's but am seriously thinking about getting them.  The only planars I have at the moment are my...

Don't buy any FiiO product from SainStore on Amazon and how to distinguish a genuine FiiO E6 from a fake one

Quote: Yes, I recently just bought from them on Amazon.  I got the accessory pack that came with an extra battery.  It was actually really nice because the regular battery had no charge but the spare one did and I wanted to test it as soon as I got it.  The extra battery is slightly bigger...

Denon D2000 or Ultrasone 750 Pro?

Quote: I was looking at the 650's previously but they are pricey.  What is a markl mod?  I'm kinda new to the audiophile world so sorry if I ask a lot of questions.

Denon D2000 or Ultrasone 750 Pro?

Quote: What is the major difference between the D2000 and D5000 models?  Spec wise they seem the same other than the D5000's having natural wood.

Denon D2000 or Ultrasone 750 Pro?

I like the specs on the D2000's they definitely have a higher price point though.  The Ultrasone 750's are nice to look at but I really don't want shrieking treble...I already don't like what I get from my Beyer 990 Pro's sometimes.  I guess my question is, which cans have a better overall sound...

Denon D2000 or Ultrasone 750 Pro?

I recently bought a pair of Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250 Ohm and I'm not quite liking the sound signature.  The overall sound is nice but I'm looking for punchy low end bass.  The treble is almost piercing in the 990's as well so I can't really listen to them past a certain sound level without...

    Best Headphones for the buck

Quote: It looks like the D2000 have a wider frequency range compared to the others.  How do you think they compare to the PRO 750 and the DT770's?  I actually heard a pair of DT770's in store and they had a nice little punch of bass.  I could probably use a little more bass than the DT770's...

    Best Headphones for the buck

Ok so I got my DT 990 Pro 250 Ohm's today and have been listening to them.  I actually love the level of the treble, and mids, I think they fit just right, but I keep finding myself lacking that nice low punchy bass that I love in all my music.  I am always turning up the bass on the Fiio E-11...

    Best Headphones for the buck

Quote: Thanks for that clarification.  As I said I'm a little new to the audiophile world and some of the technical aspects aren't always so clear to me.  I thnk I get what you are saying though.  The HD 598's are originally what I was looking at but after much deliberation I believe I am...

    Best Headphones for the buck

Quote: Like I said if I ultimately don't like them I'll return them within the window. I'd say that if a majority of the people that I have talked to so far have a pair in their arsenal then they are obvioussly good headphones. I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best, how does that...

    Best Headphones for the buck

So I think I've come to a conclusion after much deliberation and research.  I am going to try  the DT 990 Pro 250ohms and get the Fiio e11 as a portable amp.  These should work with the ASUS Xonar Essence STX I plan on buying as well.  I feel that if I order them and don't like them I can always...
