Just to warn you, don't count on the battery working when you receive it. I ordered a similar package from half.com a while ago and the battery was unfortunately no longer functional. I guess these things tend to die after a while. Hope you have better luck.

Allmusic is still a great resource with artist bios and very complete discographies. We'll just hope Amazon doesn't get to them too.

The 4 Brahms symphonies are a must. I could go on and on about different composers you should check out, but I say go for those first. Also, glad to hear you're interested in hearing more Shostakovich. For a great complete symphonies set at a ridiculously low price, go for the Barshai set...
