    Strange ER-4P problem

Ahh.. just made the switch and they sound good as new. I never realized the filters could get clogged so easiliy by dust. New incentive to clean my room I guess.

    Strange ER-4P problem

Whew, okay, that's good to hear. Thanks for the tips. That is pretty pricey for a new set of filters, but after what I heard yesterday morning, I don't mind supporting this company a little over time.

    Strange ER-4P problem

I'll probably end up contacting Etymotic Research about this in the next few days, but I figured maybe I'd get a faster initial response here. I just got a used set of Ety ER-4Ps in the mail today. I used them for a few hours this morning and loved them- no problems with seal, comfort, or...

    Looking for similar vocal music

    Looking for similar vocal music

For similar unaccompanied (a cappella) vocal music, I'd recommend Rachmaninov's Vespers. They have the same kind of "neo-Renaissance" feel to them as the Barber and are really quite beautiful. If you don't mind having an orchestra in there, I would strongly recommend one of my favorite...

    YAY :D

Just to warn you, don't count on the battery working when you receive it. I ordered a similar package from half.com a while ago and the battery was unfortunately no longer functional. I guess these things tend to die after a while. Hope you have better luck.

    CDnow's Amazon Takeover RANT

Allmusic is still a great resource with artist bios and very complete discographies. We'll just hope Amazon doesn't get to them too.

Here's my symphony collection; what else should I get?

The 4 Brahms symphonies are a must. I could go on and on about different composers you should check out, but I say go for those first. Also, glad to hear you're interested in hearing more Shostakovich. For a great complete symphonies set at a ridiculously low price, go for the Barshai set...

Where is a good place for buying cds online?

For classical CDs, check out the Berkshire Record Outlet (www.broinc.com). They carry a lot of cutouts and overrun CDs for ridiculous prices. Just yesterday I drove out there (I live near the Berkshires) and picked up 70 CDs for $140. All of the CDs I bought were under the Brilliant Classics...
