Oh, I KNOW OSX. I think I've settled on the MacBook. OSX is much more pleasant to work with, for daily tasks. Plus, I can always boot Unix or XP for my programming needs. Hmm... The egg-cooker might be useful. No hot plates allowed at my dorm.

Yeah, I saw pictures of the M1210 beside the MacBook. Funny thing is, the M1210 is almost *not* ultraportable, since it's quite thick... however, that's a plus in my book, because it'll be in my (laptop) backpack most of the time. Ah... yeah, I just found out that they're the same...

Well, I've narrowed it down to two choices: the MacBook, or the Dell XPS M1210. I checked out the Inspiron 6400, and really love the SXGA screen, but I think it's too big to be carried around on a daily basis. How's the quality on the M1210? I haven't been able to see a real, live sample...

That's what I'm thinking with the MacBook... I do some light programming, etc, and Windows is much better for that (or even Ubuntu or Kubuntu) but for everyday tasks, I absolutely LOVE Mac OSX. =] Windows does everything it does, but OSX streamlines it so nicely... iPod and E500PTH are now on...

It's not so bad, if you use the educational discount. Plus, Dell doesn't have nearly as many coupon deals in Canada... Looking at my budget for this year, I think I'm going to have to definitely part with the E500PTH, if not the iPod also... a plus with the MacBook is that I get the Nano for...
