the only difference of the rs2 and rs2i is a sticker on the box they come with.    I don't consider the rs2 is a direct upgrade to the 325s, but the rs2s are the most relax grado I've ever heard, and I've heard the entire prestige lineup, the rs1, and I also own the rs2s. I would suggest you...

you need a new pair of headphones for your vinyl. I'm happy with the 701 with vinyl, it sounds not too much different from the digital versions besides all the expected improvements and faults. From my own experience, vinyl is the most enjoyable with a pair of headphone when it is damn clean...
