[Doubting]

Simple question, difficult answer.

Looking at: sq (by far the most important imo), comfort (may be a game breaker if really poor), sound leakage/isolation (you take closed cans for a reason)

Some of the contenders that come to mind:
Denon d2k, akg k550, ultrasone pro750, beyerdynamic d770 pro80

Really curious about your thoughts on this one.

beyer's are very comfortable...
not sure about the other ones, havent tried it yet.

Your list is solid, just pick one and go. The D2K is a linear headphone with solid sub-bass (isolation is not superb, but it's not without it), K550 is pretty linear, PRO750 has powerful bass and bright treble, DT770 has strong bass, sparkle in the treble.

Tyll just did a review on the k550 on InnerFidelity, the main comparison is focusing on the k550 to the D2000, worth a look.
