Best classical recordings...ever!
+1 on the Munch Daphnis. But I just got my hands on the Dutoit/Montreal recording, and it's fantastic as well--can't decide which interpretation I prefer. Sound quality is definitely a step up though.- 96rubberduckys

1964 Ears Adel IEMs
Am I the only one wishing they made a U-3 (universal 1964-V3) ? Early bid price would have been around $250.- 96rubberduckys

Best classical recordings...ever!
Thanks! Also wanted to mention I got a little confused--I meant Bernstein with the concertgebouw, not Vienna. I'm not even sure there is a vienna recording lol. As long as it's this one, you got the one I'm talking about.- 96rubberduckys

Best classical recordings...ever!
His 9th with the Concertgebouw must be slowest rendition ever--the last movement is 30 mins long. But it's also the most searing, painful reading busting at its seams. Sometimes unbearably emotional. For Mahler fans looking for the greatest extreme, definitely check it out. I agree about...- 96rubberduckys

Brand Spanking New A&K AK120II and AK100II
CosmicHolyGhost said earlier that they will be available from AK dealers soon. Wonderful, I agree, but I wish they went with the standard leather texture. The reptile look is really flashy, even in just black. Oh well.- 96rubberduckys

Brand Spanking New A&K AK120II and AK100II
Anyone know if Dignis plans to release AK100II / AK120II cases at all? They've already got Cowon and Calyx, maybe they don't even plan on doing them?- 96rubberduckys

Brand Spanking New A&K AK120II and AK100II
I was having the same issue too. It seems that it doesn't let you copy over new folders--i.e. you cant copy over a folder for an artist that contains Albums > Songs. What you can do though, is open up iTunes, select all the songs, and drag that in to the music folder of your AK100II. Of...- 96rubberduckys

Best classical recordings...ever!
For the Kreisleriana, Claudio Arrau. Mind you I haven't heard the Cortot or Kissin, and neither the Perahia, which I turned away from because I did not like his highly regarded Davidsbunderlantze--I assume that I just don't like his style. I'm intrigued by the Cortot; I have a lot of his Chopin...- 96rubberduckys

Best classical recordings...ever!
I have the Leslie Howard Liszt box as well, a lot of volume 7 (Harmonies Poétiques & Religieuses) stood out for me. Not what you would expect from Liszt.(In a good way) For orchestral music, how about the Hungarian Fantasy or the Faust Symphony? It seems like Schumann's piano music...- 96rubberduckys
