Well, I fell at work. I completely tore off my quadricep tendon, and my right knee doesn't work at all. I guess my Sony NW-WM1Z and Shure SRH1540 headphones will increase in their use. It's a hard way to get in more listening time! I am taking pain meds pretty frequently.

Get well soon. Your posts were helpful and informative in buying into the WM1 range (original)
I have had mine for a long time. My Shure SRH1540 headphones just turned 7 years old and they look brand new. My Sony DAPs are both perfect with many hours. Thank you. The pain is at least bearable now.

I am near the Illinois/Wisconsin state line.
Get well soon, it may seem like a long way to recovery... unlike me blindness is permanent sadly. Luckily here in germany i can still be insepensant, the subway trains speak the stops and direction (end of line). Or scan the wire transfer checks with amarthone and you get all payment data loaded wothouth having to type

I am glad you have the tools necessary for independence.

I recommend rest, keeping it elevated, and plenty of WM1Z + SRH1540, maybe a little WM1A before bed.
All the best with the healing.

That's a good plan!

Enjoying my newly acquired Wm1z (Rikubuds earbuds, if curious). If anyone happens to have a Dignis case they don't use and would sell along, please PM me.

I was late to the party even 2-3 years ago looking for a Dignis case. I bought a case from Aliexpress, I don't think the link can be posted, but this is the listing:

Italy Minerva Box Genuine Leather Protective Shell Skin Case Cover for Sony Walkman NW-WM1A NW-WM1Z

I actually only used it for a recent 2 week trip to Japan so can't comment on the lifespan with regular use. It seems to be of a decent quality leather with workmanship that I can't fault ie. it doesn't look like a cheap low quality item. This is my post with pictures:

Just reported on the Introductions forum about the battery life of my WM1A that has only had light use (700 hours now) since I bought it 7 years ago. It had been sat in my sock drawer for a while when I took it on a long flight from the UK to Australia.

I was disappointed that on the return journey I only got 8 hours use and decided to buy the M2 from these classifieds.

However, I can now report that after a few full discharges and charges I am now getting 32 hours FLAC playback, and that’s with battery care switched on! What a player! Seven years old, over 30 hours playback. I love it.

(I’ve now got a WM1AM2 for sale)
