My leather case from AliExpress arrived today.
I always wanted a quality one for my 1Z but I missed the bus for the Dignis etc cases, and any searches over the years only came up with the silicon or TPU, or ones for the new models. BTW, my unused TPU case must have fallen victim to humidity as it has a cloudy discolouration.
The leather seems to be of a reasonable quality and it appears to be very well made. My Walkman slides in with minimal effort, providing a nice fit and the buttons respond well. As my Walkman never leaves the house the silicon will still get the most use as it provides decent protection and offers more grip for day to day use.
As covid travel restrictions have long passed, and airfares have become finally become affordable again I've booked to go to Japan in December - a good excuse for my 1Z to don it's fine leather case for frequent trips to e earphone.

I bought a leather case last year for my SR25, the build quality is good but it made the buttons hard to press, the overall experiences are not that good so I bought a clear silicone case for my WM1A

I'm going to get one of those in case they stop selling. I chose the silicon as it has good grip, but the FatBear is the best for protection.
AliExpress, also Taobao has another brand with different colour options @XiOLiQ posted a couple of pages back.
It's not as responsive as the silicon, but I think it's just the nature of the leather being thicker and limited in being pressed to shape. I don't know if it could be remedied by putting something like thin silicon dots in the button cavities.

No J3 is a WalkmanOne region and you need the trial version of the WalkmanOne custom fw released in this thread by MrWalkman (I don’t think the version with J3 is the official one on his web site).

I have the Dignis for the 1Z and bought a Fat Bear for it. Since I listen to the 1Z in bed, I wanted to make sure that it's protected if it falls.
My 1A has a Fat Bear as I use the 1A when commuting on the train.
