Yin and yang, maybe?
I think so. When I sold my first NW-WM1A, I started feeling incomplete after a while. These DAPs definitely compliment one another.

It was reported sometime ago that the walkmans I think on the Japan recon I am not sure anymore that they had a section for cue sheets.

Did this functionality actually work? If just how? A) separated cue file or B) embedded cue sheet in the audio file's metadata?

As I recall it does work. It has to be an external file and I think named the same as the folder it resides in and reference paths that are valid for the player. I think I played with it 6-7 years ago but it is not something I use

OK, thank you, as I am planning to merge track into a single file and then use a cute crap to separate them virtually

That is how I see cue sheet, like an index file if you have big flag file with the cue file you can "split" the big flac into smaller virtual tracka.

Is how the players do it if you place a single flac file plus cue sheet?

Yes that’s how it’s supposed to work. I used it when I had a Colourfly C4 many years ago

Looking for some help in doing the following with my Wm1z:

- Identifying which region stock mine is. There's Korean on the back of the box and also on the side engraving, so guessing KR?
- How to install stock Japan version (?) - I prefer the Japan tuning on the Wm1a, so wanted to try Japan. But I also like the bone stock OS.

Well, I fell at work. I completely tore off my quadricep tendon, and my right knee doesn't work at all. I guess my Sony NW-WM1Z and Shure SRH1540 headphones will increase in their use. It's a hard way to get in more listening time! I am taking pain meds pretty frequently.

Get well soon! Music is a balm for the soul.

Was recently admitted to hospital too, and lucky my faithful Sony WM1A and some IEMs accompanied me during those days in between scans and blood tests.
