Extract 120.hex from the archive, connect the player as mass storage device, put the file to the AK120 itself (not into one of the folders)

It's works.
Thank you very much!!

Crutchfield has the 120 for $899 new, and the Titan for $1049 new, both with free shipping.

I popped for the 120. I won't be spending $1.6k for a 120 II , and the threads indicate that for Redbook, the 120 sounds quite nice enough.

Most people say the AK120 BEST THEN AK120II, So i have AK120 and the sound's really good!!!!

Looking for some advice on my AK120 Titan - it's started to discolour a little on sides, where the finish has started to develop some darker patches. I've given it a light wipe but that hasn't seemed to fix the issue. I take extremely good care of it so it's certainly not from misuse. Has anyone else had this issue? Open to any advice about cleaning. Pretty concerned about whether this apparent staining is permanent given the cost. Thanks everyone.

I have noticed the very same thing and mine has been kept in a case from day one and babied!

Sorry to hear you're having the same issues. Same, mine has been in its case since I bought it. Really hope it's fixable. I've emailed A&K and also posted on their FB wall, but haven't heard a whisper back. Would really like their take on it, especially as it sounds like it's not an isolated incident. Maybe you could add a FB comment to my post and see if that gets their attention?

After receiving my AK120, I started looking for a stand that was not stupidly expensive... I am happy with how my DIY turned out, 4 dollars worth of wood and a finger later (joking) ...

I am absolutely not what you would call handy with wood and have a VERY minimal amount of tools at my disposal, but I was able to put this together, have a charging cable running though a channel under the main vertical piece and it seems to do everything I need it to do :)

The Ref1's seem to do everything I need them to do too lol

Darren,  Cool stand...plus yours works with the 'case on' which the AK stands do not, And if you ever jump to other DAP's your stand won't become obsolete...

Great choice in IEM's, too.

Titanium does darken with age if my titanium wrist watch is anything to go by, it does develope patina however I have found the impregnated sof cloths one uses for silver to bring the lustre back, you might want to try that as the are not abrasive.

120 arrived today, upgraded firmware and loaded with a bunch of high rest DSD files. Sure sounds nice, but volume was at 62 with the HD650 and LCD-3. I'm going to see what happens when paired with the Ray Samuels SR71A.
