The AK120 slightly longer compared to the AK100, but with the same thickness. It's to accommodate the 2nd DAC and the bigger battery. The dual DAC setup of the AK120 is designed to give you a wider soundstage and broader dynamic range.

The AK120 is available at some German retailers already at the price point of 1,299 Euros. No official launch date or pricing point to the US yet. Stay tuned for updates at our Facebook page and Twitter feed!

i think we will get more updates on the 10th or maybe thats the launch date. It's selling for 10800 HK$ (Jaben, Hongkong) which is around 1400 US$  much more then the price of the AK100 & modded ones. I hope its twice the sound aswell.  Online/U.S pricing should be better.

wow looks amazing but it costs more then the tera player, way more.
i hope it will sound better then him :) (by 25% more)
the + side is tons of space (max of 192GB) i can put most of my music on wave with that
and the 10Hz is amazing! (just need to find headphones that go that low lol)

Cool! I hope that it sounds better than the modded AK100. Then I will have an excuse to buy it.

Same chips used by Apple so every Apple product is on par with this but at a significantly lower price.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

You have your currencies confused

The news link provides for £841 when converting from USD, however, the other post with the cited live ¢ pricing converts to £1k. Time will tell. It sounds a lot but then again if it is meant to compete with something like a Solo + amp combo, it is tomayto, tomato
