If there is going to be HD 800 S with the proper print on the headband, what you guys do? Send it back and demand that you also get a HD 800 S on the headband despite having no effect on the sound? :p

Guess many have already read Tyll's review of the LCD 4 which made many comparisons with the HD800S. Dunno about u guys but I feel pretty damn good I chose the HD800S.

Haven't read that yet but I'm right now at the store listening to the HD800S & the HE1K & on this 2nd round my preferences is still leaning towards the HD800S. It just has more emotions and life in it. Granted I'm listening to both off my AK380 and it's fair enough to say a proper desktop setup could bring more life out of the HE1K but it can also be said the HD800S is less demanding to please upfront.

I always hear about bass distortion of HD800S Tyll was talking about. Do you bro heard it at any wolume at store? I bet its just mostly placebo, because nobody heard that until the tests of Tylls.

Personally I didn't hear any distortion bearing in mind I'm listening at the store and these cans are naturally not isolating at all.

If I were in the market for a pair of high end headphones & having the opportunity to demo at the store I would have been satisfied to drop my money to buy.

The added 2nd harmonic distortion only mimics more sub bass. I have been saying this for a very long time before Tyll his review so it's no placebo (ok, I thought it was real sub bass instead of 2nd harmonic distortion :p)
