Since they both have no moving parts:
Glue the bottoms together and place them vertical on one side.

I have no idea about which turntables and cartridges would make me as happy as my Yggy. I have a nice open place for that turntable next to the Yggy in my living room

I have a Music Hall MMF 5.1 with Ortofon Blue cartridge.  Brothers In Arms never sounded so good.  Just saw that Music Direct has them for 1/2 off, more or less.

I have a Gumby, also a VPI Traveler w/ ortofon 2m blue. In my opinion the 2m blue does not measure up. If you have an Yggy I would think that you would want a 2M Black. Or I have been looking at Dynavector 10x5 and 20x5. Other carts to consider Sumiko Blackbird and Zu Audio Denon DL-103.

Still, with all due respect, in general, those who are going to spend $2000+ on a TT will probably spend more than the Mani
costs on a preamp. Just my opinion.

And probably waste money in doing so. Just my opinion

You guys are really tempting me to revive the vinyl classics I've had in (careful) storage for decades since I went to the (dark) digital side. To set the bar, check my sig below for my current digital 2-channel system. I could easily get a Mani and connect it to my Hegel integrated amp, but in the long decades since I last played vinyl, I have no idea about which turntables and cartridges would make me as happy as my Yggy. I have a nice open place for that turntable next to the Yggy in my living room

Clearly this is a rabbit hole. Every one has an Opinion. I would say the RP3 is a Good place. I started with the RP1 but modded it to the point of it basically being an RP3. Those SL1200's are built like Tanks, Well the Old ones, I do not know about the new ones, I have only read about them. The difference with ones like the Rega, VPI and Music halls Verses the SL1200's is the SL1200's are direct drive and sometimes the sound made by the mechanism can make its way through the chain. For it's Intended purpose It's a screwin awesome table and there are some people that use them for 2 channel rigs at home because they are probably one of the quietest Direct drives but in general belt driven is where a lot of the Hi Fi companies go because the motor is uncoupled from the platter which translates in to less noise or rumble. Pick your poison but there are a lot of very good mid priced tables and cart selection is another matter. If anything the TT makes me appreciate what Multibit does to make digital have that analog finesse that is missing from so many other DACS.
