I don't find my LCD3 to be excessively heavy at all. I can and do wear them for hours with no problems at all. There are some times I feel a need to adjust the position slightly but even then very rarely. Love those phones. Everything about them just keepers.

I highly recommend this album with the LCD-3s.

Looks like LCD-3 with the dacmini for me, will buy in the coming months.

...but i may get a pair of ie 800's for some more portables, once i get some extra $....

Anyway, is there anywhere i can audition the lcd-3 in NYC? i hear south hackensack has a store (headphones.com) that sells them, but i have no idea if i can listen to them.

What's good in that album?

It's an electronic, somewhat dubstep album. Not your typical transformers/skrillex dubstep. It's more on the musical side for sure This album really brings out the (deep) bass of the LCD-3. Really good soundscapes and ambience. It has a wide variety of flavours. A few great vocal tracks. Really deserves a full through listen. Sligthly on the dark side. Very relaxing and engaging at the same time.

I recommend listening the full length. They are not your typical repetition of verse/chorus back and forth. Here are some tracks:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmolnSHjHi8 (some vocals)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taVZ4mzFMdY (again, few vocals)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WtxOp6jlMs (bass + soundscape)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GN5ZKuqlrUY (Album starts off with this - grew on me over time)

There are just a few tracks. I recommend the whole album honestly.

Audeze sent me a survey (I don't know how widespread it was) about what I liked/didn't like about their phones or phones in general.
Questions were about things like the shape of the pads, how important strong bass was, whether use from a portable source was important, etc.
Did anyone get this? Thanks.
