I'm not seeing any stores yet that carry the Spirit Professional that also have a decent return policy. So far I'm only seeing stores that say that you're not allowed to use it, only look at it  (how the hell am I supposed to know if it's a good headphone if I can only look at it). So yeah, I'm not gonna give those stores my business :)

.
You always could try sending a mail to feedback.nl theyre part of keymusic(Belgium), and keymusic has the spirit pro if nog just try keymusic.be or even thomann.de

Now I can see why the Sony MDR-7520 doesn't exist in Germany (well it does); it's prohibitively expensive compared to elsewhere in the world.

The few online shops that do sell it in Germany sells it for 449 euros.
That translates to roughly $620

Which is nearly 3X more expensive than the U.S. price of $300 = 220 euros.

In the UK it's also very expensive at about $480 (£300)

Isn't it besides the 'paintjob' quite identical to the z1000??

Here in the Netherlands the 7520 costs € 390.

So, I received the 7520 and Z1000 today and I should receive the Focal Spirit Classic tomorrow :)

Initial impression on the 7520 and Z1000 are 1: My ears completely fit inside both!!!! :D And the 7520 is even a bit more spacious than the Z1000, but the Z1000 isolates slightly better. The Z1000 also has a bit more clamping pressure than the 7520. Otherwise they look similar, except that the 7520 is all black.

In terms of sound I can't say much yet, need to give them a closer listen, but they do sound slightly different. I guess my initial impression is that the 7520 sounds a bit more spacious and has slightly more bass, or at least the tuning is different where the Z1000's bass sounds a bit more rolled of compared to the 7520 (it's a slight difference though, but my test track for that is the first track on the Dark Knight OST, around 3:20 into the track where a deep sub-bass enters the track).

Anyway, will let them burn in overnight (just in case) and will also compare with the FSC over the weekend. But I suspect the FSC won't be nearly as comfortable as these Sony headphones.

Awesome stuff starfly! It's great (for me!) that you are getting all of these phones and trying them out. But, you really should get the M500's again (and keep them!) just so that you can continue doing detailed comparisons against them lol!

I'm also wanting to hear more about the 7520 - for the first time since buying the Momentum am I no longer curious about another closed-back (portable'ish) headphone, but have it's full attention.

Now all I need to do is find out if there's a shop in Frankfurt carrying it for audition (which I highly doubt).

As I don't want to clutter this thread too much, I'd recommend you follow this thread (http://www.head-fi.org/t/682534/sony-mdr-7520) for my 7520 impressions, as I'll be posting most of my impressions in there.
