differences in sound stage, presentation (intimate/forward/spacious), imaging, and instrument separation can cause people to feel that the violin is "dancing on their face or dancing between their ears"

Yep! I notice a little of that surrounded in space aspect with my HiFiman HE-560 and the Lyr Amp I am trying.That said, I hope to get to listen to the EL-9's soon.
