i sold the eq7 , it was like you said , decent but next to the K3003 it was simply useless
there is a savant selling used for 500$ but i can not get money to my paypal account , due to bnak measures where i live (greece)
it is sold by its 2nd user but still aaargh
Because I'm caring and sharing, I'll expand a little more on the Savant vs K3003. I think that the majority of the reviews of the Savant hit the nail on the head - it has a very cohesive sound, it is detailed, it is pitched at an upper-midrange focus and it isn't a basshead iem. It plays acoustic jazz and small scale classical well capturing the instrumental timbre of the instruments well - particularly brass and percussion. Whilst I wouldn't call it thin, I think the K3003 is all over it for thickness of notes - when a guitar gets down and dirty, the K3003 has you up to your knees in mud, the Savant scuffs your shoes. I find that I am increasingly using eq with the Savant to give a weight and texture to the sound on the Cowon P1, especially for rock, funk and EDM - something I don't feel the need to do with the K3003. I think the Sorensiim review summed it up when he suggested that the Savant is a nice complementary IEM if you have something a bit meatier (in his case a K10). That's the way I see it as well and whilst it's nice and I won't be selling it, I see it is a complement not a replacement for the K3003.

Giles
