Thought so. I didn't think you'd be friends with a sophomore, but then again, most people probably don't know that my only somewhat-real-friends are all sophomores, juniors, and seniors (and then bowei is my only actual friend at school).

Honestly, that is by far the worst article I've seen. Sure, I dislike Apple here because of my own personal tastes and preferences but I think it's obvious that they aren't going to be leaving for a long, long time. Most of the people out there love their products such as the iPhone, iPod, and iPad (almost everybody at the middle school is a Windows user though, so...iMac and Macbooks are a different story) and they'll get them no matter what, unless they're that horrible, but it's Apple and they'll try to blow everybody's minds with better quality and features so they never lose interest.

Arm A15 doesn't sound right...I thought the iPhone 5 used an ARM 6 based processor.

Aww shucks

Most of them there are windows users but most would rather have a Mac. That's the difference

Haibur nyan. You have to remember. Apple's A series SoC is their own markings. I know it's REALLY confusing. Apple's own SoC combo unit is called the A6 but it is probably using an ARM Cortex A15. You see where the confusion starts now? Both start with A and have a low number. I believe it is ARM Cortex A15 based in the sense that they are using the basic design and making their own for superb performance. Taking combo of both A9, custom instructions and sectors and the improveed architecutre and other things of the A15. The A15 is quad core (not sure if dual core design) but it's made for server use, it uses up WAY too much energy than Apple is comfortable with. And thus as the article said, by using combo's of an A9, custom CPU design based off ARM v7 instructions and the new ARM A15 chips of which Apple has lisences for and to use both base ARM chips and their instruction sets. They have been able to allegidly(key word) get 2.1X performance faster than A5 in both processing and graphics, if this is true, then that would be a very fast phone that should be faster than any thing Android OS throws at it. Many Android phones by Q3 will be using Base ARM A15's quad cores but the problem is that their OS is too fragmented. Apple when they first debut'd dual core were able to give ANY AND EVERY app a performance boost as their OS and hardware are exactly matched, no need for custom multi core instructions form the developers. Android can't do that and some phones can't run some apps and vice versa. Most apps are not written for quad core use so even if you give me a quad core android device, there could really be little to care about FROM MOST of them. Samsung's and native Google (Motorolla Mobility) ones should have better quad core performance as Android platform has shown that flagships generally incorporate another set of custom instructions and more native builds to better support and get more performance.

They aren't screwing for your money? They are a luxury brand. Plain and simple. Their phone line is not as luxurious anymore as the 2 year contracts drive everything down but their high end Mac lines are Porches and Lamborghini's. They aren't crazy Custom like a Ferrari or Aston but their parts come at premium prices with little warranty. It's how the world works. But I am talking about the hardware addons and accessories for their computers of course. Frankly it is counter productive for the consumer but as their numbers show, it doesn't matter. Basically what has happened is that cheap PC's have entitled a way of thinking that says that a PC should be cheap and what not. That is true and I am fine with that, more oppuriunities for more people. But when people start complaining and getting computer problems and errors and failures, well then what happened? Quality parts. Apple doesn't use super select quality etc and what not but theirs on average is the best in the industry of quality intergration and etc. Custom motherboards using parts that are now non removable for the most part for the most space saving, weight, and less user error in case they try to open it amongst other things.

International Samsung has been pretty good sport about what has happened. Samsung Mobile USA however seems pretty American. They include all the little software based features and add ons but seems to have forgot the others of Apple's. I hope you can agree with me after reading down the list of Samsung's "list" that they are playing ...prety sucky

Just saw last weeks Kokoro Connect 10

They did a good 8/10 job at revitalizing the series, pretty good uplifting episode and what not :)

SAO was nice , like I expected. The LN was in depth but very little can beat the animation and subtle things you see Asuna and Kirito doing that the LN just cna't possibly convey

One big problem that is happening though, I am on Volume 7 LN and this has been recurring for many Volumes

Kirito has changed in terms of romantically. In the anime and LN Volumes 3 and prior, he was strong and determined about his love, wasn't shy and just went and kept forward. Now, in many of the worlds, it's just meh to him. I understand they are trying to be more realistic where you don't swoon over everything but the lack of any of it with Kirito pulling a Kira Yamato is boring. Realistic but boring, he is un action packed right now and just letting everything go as they are, sleeping peacefully and what not....dude. You are a dude. Your libido should be happening. This series LIVED on Romance to get it going or to get it past the first challenge, it is pulling Shounen style works right now and basically dropped 90% of the romance.

@bowei
The Apple A6 is a SoC??? you sure??
(None of the Arm Cortex are SoC's)

You read through all of them?
http://www.head-fi.org/t/627166/iphone-5-announced/30#post_8698659

The A6 IS  SoC. ARM Cortex IS NOT AN SOC. That's what I said is so confusing. We know little of the A6 so I won't use that as an example
But the A5 is Apple's SoC which uses an ARM Cortex A9 CPU along with a Power VGR 532 MP2 GPU along with TI power control units and various other IC and units on the chip. A SoC can be anything really from what ever units you want to add onto it or off it or whatever.

Nope, I missed the link.

What?? SoC ≠ many chips in 1 package, it's 1 chip. (not the same thing.)
So there's NO WAY to tell what's in there except for the SINGLE manufacturer.
Thus impossible to have bits and pieces from Multiple companies!

SoC=System on a Chip

It may contain digitalanalogmixed-signal, and often radio-frequency functions—all on a single chip substrate.

There is no standard thing that HAS to go on a SoC, it generally includes many important things like buses, CPU', GPU, RAM and other "important things" but some companies may only put this and that on it but leave the audio codec or power management sector to be off the main SoC.

Of course, there's no way to tell what's on a SoC which is what I said.

SoC's are custom made, they do not stand for any single brand or company, Apple or motorolla can make an SoC and use whatever components they want(compatible of course) for example the A5 has an ARM Cortex A9 CPU with some light customization of the core, a Power VGR 532 MP2 GPU, TI Power Management, Cirrus Logic "high end" DAC, Audience 2 dual way noise cancelation chip and MANY others along with 512MB of Samsung binned or made RAM

Yep, I know that.

How is it possible that apple can make their SoC's using other chips??
I seriously doubt ARM is just gonna give their schematic to apple and let apple find a 3rd party chip manufacturer to make it!

and what you're saying is that MULTIPLE companies are going to give their chip schematics to apple,
and let them combine the chips into a single die then manufacturer it?
There's NO WAY that's gonna happen.
