Then I suggest when you  receive your tracking number, ring which ever carrier it is in Australia and inform them not to leave it. Inform them of your situation. Usually the package needs to signed for, but anything can really happen.

I would really appreciate if someone could confirm this, so that I can go about downloading new artwork before my DX50 arrives.

The 500x500 limitation is for AK100/AK120.

Since I've "cleaned" all of mine to 499x499 for the AK, I cannot confirm if larger artwork works on DX50.

hmmm...I remember reading on some japanese forum that it wasn't necessarily the resolution but the file size that was causing trouble. One of the guys managed to get much larger than 500*500 to work, only it was of much lower quality. Shame I can't find the thread.

Listened to my IE800 for the first time in about 6 months with the DX50 this afternoon.........sensational, best I have heard the IE800 sound, and probably one of the best pairings for the DX50 thus far!!!

Muse "The 2nd Law" album on 24/96 sounded awesome!!

I find the Muse's "The 2nd Law" album isnt as good as Daft Punk's "Random Access Memory" 24/96 album, in terms of mastering. I do certainly hope that you can get your hands onto Daft Punk's album. I personally felt that RAM album is the benchmark for me to test specifically lows and sub lows; i'm talking about the tone, stability, decay, resonance, overtones, yada yada.

According to my ears and am acquaintance of mine, the Daft Punk's sub lows goes as low as 16hz (my ears told me 15hz but his software told him 16hz... well close enough). I certainly strongly recommend the RAM album from Daft Punk. 2 thumbs up.

Sennheiser or TDK?:)

You can hear a properly developed 15Hz note...and from an IEM? Interesting!

Yup RAM in 24/06 is a nice album but do not have it in the DX50.

I don't think think that Gavin would be using a TDK one. He only owns the best stuff.

I shouldn't think so...a fully developed 20Hz note is 17 meters longs and basically felt, and only a few speakers can produce the note proficiently.

I read C3 forum that it have a very neutral, bright, detail, good separation and wide sound stage but less bass.
It is 50% price of DX50.

^ +1 I'm also interested in getting some impression vs the Colorfly C3. Thanks. smily_headphones1.gif

I'm sure you will have already lost you ability to hear such super high notes by the time you saved up enough money to buy such a speaker.
Marketing blabla IMO.

"Oh the new Sony hybrid IEM is able to reach up aaaaall the way to 40kHz! Well, isn't that great, now I can shove this luxury item into my dogs ears so he can enjoy some operas sung by bats!"

Well, i really dunno the full technicalities of freq and such but, how I taught myself to listen to tones and recognise them, is to listen to a full list of tracks with specific freq tone.

so i have a playlist from 5hz to 22kHz (http://www.burninwave.com/ <<< my source where i got it, some time back in 2011), and then keep some tones on repeat to listen and remember how the specific tone would sound like on my CIEM.

to be honest, i don't know if i'm listening to the actual correct (on paper) tone but yea, that's how i did it.

I have a question for folks who are amping the DX50, since the Line Output can be adjusted using the volume control buttons, what is the vol level that you guys set to achieve maximum SQ? is 1.5vrms can only be achieve when set to vol to max?
