'Hi,
A signed USB-DAC driver will be released in this month.
If you would like to use the current driver on your 64bit OS, you can just disable the digital signature.

I'll just leave this here. Came a minute ago, and I hope it's true! :)

If you have a chance try out pairing with an amp! Makes it even more amazing. :)
I have an amp the Fiio e12 but do not like the sound Sig very forward and very tiring on the ears but just wanted to ask ,once you hook up an amp through the line out what sound signiture does it use the amp or the player or both could you recommend an amp that matches the signiture of the dx50 .
Thanks

I'd say the sound signature would be a mixture of both. I have a JDS Labs C5 and IMO it pairs rather well with the DX50. It's rather neutral - no or little colouration - and it expands the soundstage, adding noticeable width and depth and also improving separation. Oh and I have to add that it's almost the same size as the DX50 so they'll look rather good together.

I'm having some issues with the play order. Its happened before on the other firmware but more regularly recently with the 1.5.0. The play order seems to be whacky, I'll listen to the first and/or second song in the folder, then it jumps to the other songs, so weird. Anyone else experience this and know how to fix it?

My unit did this once, we never worked out why. What I did was...

Reinstall the firmware
Factory reset
Delete the folder on your card and internal memory DX50 creates for whatever ( I think album art)

I don't know what fixed mine exactly but the problem went away. Ibasso told me providing the player is set to play in order what I told them was impossible.

Thanks H20, I've tried the reinstallation of the firmware and factory reset but not the folder deletion, which I'll try soon. And its not impossible because its happening to me now lol

I know I`m kind of fanboy of O.R.Lopez & Mars Volta but try Omar Rodriguez Lopez - Cryptomnesia and The Mars Volta - Frances The Mute

I just installed SU 1.3.5Beta, but never got the chance to listen to it. Upon boot up, it just stays on the Ibasso logo (and i hear the relay click and click). Hard rest doesn't fix it. So i just went back to 1.3.3.

Always... ALWAYS after firmware update make sure You:
1) Delete .img file (and all other files You can see) from DX50 internal memory after update
2) Do factory reset
3) Scan SD card & Rescan Library. Rescan library is recommended to do every time after adding new music. I usually delete DX50 created folders from SD and internal memory before adding new music.

I'll keep this in mind, always deleted the update afterwards but thought the dx50 created folders were necessary.

They are necessary. Probably for album art and tags. DX50 creates those folders after putting new music on SD/internal memory and after scan/rescan library. I`m not sure if NOT deleting those folders while adding music creates any possible conflicts but I just do it to be sure. I`m not adding/changing music often, so doing it makes my mind calm and so far no problems.

I've reloaded the firmware again. Done the factory reset again. Deleted all files on the internal memory and reloaded all songs again.

Looks like it worked on a quick flick through. Thanks guys

Using a Mac, I don't have any "created" folders in my internal storage.  I do have an .img that gives me wallpaper, but I always delete that first before running an update and then reinstall it after I run Factory Reset.

My rule of thumb is to take out my external sd card before updating.  Then I turn on the DX50, plug it into a USB cord, delete the .img AND empty trash it, drop in the update, then eject the mounted folder.  (Note: using a Mac, I run BlueHarvest before ejecting to remove all Mac Spotlight crud files that it puts there- learned that one when I had my Colorfly C3.)  I then run the Update (Advanced>Update), then plug in USB and remove the update from internal storage.  THEN I run Factory Reset, then insert my wallpaper .img, and finally insert sd card and run Rescan.  After that I go to Prefs and turn on/off whatever I want (Play, etc.),  If I'm running SU firmware, I would then turn it on and choose whatever I wanted with that.  Lots of work, but I never have issues after doing this.

I'm in a little bit of a dilemma, regarding if it's worth getting the iBasso DX50 due to the fact that so many seem to have problems with it, even with the latest firmware and so on. All I want is to have a full working player, nothing super fancy or so, and I feel like it's almost a gamble getting it when you don't know whether it will function properly or not.

So, my question is if you guys have any inputs whether I shall give it a shot and go for it, or if it's "safer" to go for something like the Fiio X3?

Any thoughts would be appreciated! :)
