Shingeki no Kyojin Episode 23 (Click to show)
Fak you Annie....

So Armin's plan was to capture Annie all along?

I'm completely illiterate when it comes to shopping for external CD/DVD/Blu-Ray drives. I have a $50 Best Buy gift card on the other hand and I figured I might as well use it on an external drive.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/DVD-Bluray-Drives/External-DVD-Drives/pcmcat189600050009.c?id=pcmcat189600050009

Do you guys have any recommendations for shopping for one and/or are the ones in that list any good? I would prefer to get a drive that's less than $100 and Blu-Ray is optional/not-needed for me.

I should also mention that I plan to use this with Mac OS.

I was honestly looking at the Apple SuperDrive because I know for a fact that's Mac OS compatible and it has a nice form factor. Then everyone is all like "ah, but it's Apple........and it's overpriced." *no other explanation*

Is this one okay? It's on sale at the moment.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/LG---Super-Multi-24x-External-USB-2.0-Double-Layer-DVD%26%23177%3B/CD-RW-Drive/9975469.p?id=1218204534082&skuId=9975469

Any help is appreciated! :)

Indifference... Sadly how I currently feel towards this episode. Maybe it's just the lack of sleep....

I would recommend looking at online feedback and official reviews for official models.

Every company has good and bad drives. Feedback on bestbuy can clue you in on potential physical issues or if something doesn't work, and official reviews for ext drives can clue you in on specific models that are extremely good. Checking bestbuy website and ordering or ordering to store can thus place you in the best position.

Honestly I hate online feedback reviews.

They're all like:

  • "this drive is crap"
  • "nuh-uh, this drive is awesome!"
  • "this drive died in a month"
  • "I've had this for a year and it works flawlessly"
  • "this drive is so slow!"
  • "this drive works as advertised"
  • etc.

The same thing goes for hard drives and it makes shopping impossible.

  • WD sucks!
  • Seagate sucks!
  • Corsair sucks!
  • WD is awesome!
  • Seagate is awesome!
  • Corsair is awesome!
  • Samsung is the best!

And that's why I'm asking here because you PC gurus probably know better answers/products.

WD and Hitatchi enterprise grade for me. Samsung drives are now Seagate drives.

;-P
Gourmet burgers are good too... fastfood isn't the only place you find burgers.
Needless to say gourmet burgers are much more expensive... the one I just ate ended up nearly 18$ with tax and our nation's beautiful obligatory 15% tips for the terrible service we received.

Home made is fine too biggrin.gif

And thats probably my least favorite imas song. Always like... Whyyyyyyy

Dumb advice bowei.

Doesn't always give you the best idea. If it's generally good, then go for it.

At least it's somewhat funny. When it has something to do with America, it has to have something to do with hamburgers and sound like an really old TV commercial song. Better than some meh sped-up Electro Pop song.

Never want to choose it.

I don't think so. I mean, I haven't played it, but it was introduced in DLC (Catalog 3). So it couldn't be, unless they teased it in vanilla game.

Oh, in PS3 it's one of the stock tracks rather than DLC.

Yeah, I guess different people had different experience with them....

4 hitachi drives died on my hands so now I'm only getting WD drives lol.

I guess the best way to choose is to look at objective measurements (i.e. R/W speeds and reliability data from the manufacturers.)
