Or....the cheap version

Basically... :D
No officer, I totally bought 4 full copies of Windows 7 Ultimate...

When a legit full version costs £30(either student discounts or introductory offer), I really don't care as long as MS don't release a paid-for update for 2 or 3 years.

Eh, guess that's true. Usually those are upgrade only though, which is stupid!

why'd you want to sanitize a cable?

Hehe, I can post some pics later of what $120 of xbox modding stuff looks like if you want.
Because Bowei sanitized the cable when he sent them to me. Rule #1: Always return things in as good or better condition than you received them.

I definitely have to get used to the feeling of having a soundstage.

Dang, I must say those look rather cool. Glad the came early and you're enjoying them!

I just did a comparison and you are right. Eve does have slightly smaller hands....

Anyway, UM,Heir, 1964 are what I am looking at for CIEM's

I'm not going to even start talking about hand sizes compared to mine...
1964 is on the top of my list because of their customization ability, and the fact they're a relatively short drive away. So if anything happens like with Eve and Frogbeats, I can go storm their base and demand my damn headphones.
And no customs fees or stupid work related delays. :D

I don't know why but I just randomly thought "I need a nice laptop to use in my new school building".
tongue.gif

If Haswell's integrated GPU can (HD5000) can perform pretty well (we need another big jump like the one from HD3000 to HD4000) for some games (APU probably will still crush it in GPU performance. After all, that's the APU's selling point), I might just get a Haswell laptop during back-to-school sales (actually a pretty good time to buy laptops apparently).

I think there was some news on an A6 APU for...tablet? Well, I don't remember. Something about 1W TDP or something and some ridiculous performance. Anyways, that probably will say that their desktop and laptop counterparts for their next APU architecture will be pretty impressive. I want to see some huge competition.

Why do you need a decent gpu in a school laptop?

My brain can't adjust to the difference in sound stage. Actually, it's making me feel sick. I have to adjust to it before I can really concentrate on the music. Kinda feels like motion sickness.

I felt that exact same way with the 4.Ai's. You will get used to it probably. Give it 2+ hours. It will feel natural then

That's a good philosophy. I could have done it if you had trouble doing that.

32GB? Hell no.....me no have cash for that.

Lol, or if anything happens to Eve, you can go complain.

I thought about that.

The new BYOD policy is pretty cool but I will expect them to roll out standardized equipment next year. It's hard to really service or provide support for a few hundred computers of various kinds.

I can dream, but I can't actually justify the cost.

My hands are massive... Like, they make my Galaxy Nexus with a 4.65" screen look small...

Playing games during lunch and before school. I have a lot of time, end of story. Bowei knows. We have a ridiculous amount of time sometimes depending on when our buses arrive at school (or when our parents drop us off) before first block starts and most people eat lunch fairly quickly.

Well, you aren't going to stay in the new building for too long before graduating.

Do they have the BYOD policy listed anywhere?

Waiting for tours of the new school.

They're probably going to go with a Windows standard and anybody with a Mac (actually, very few have their own Macs IIRC so we won't be seeing too many Macs at school. I can laugh at anybody who brings one in and destroys it, well any of their electronics) or Linux (some people might, but there are some people who think they know stuff and think Linux is rubbish which maddens me). We can easily see that since all of their new computers are on Windows 7, although they aren't necessarily getting too many new computers since they're using one computer for...probably 2-4 PCoIP setups.

Damn RAM prices have shot up. I got my 16GB for £21.

I wouldn't bother upgrading anything until Haswell drops. You can live with single channel ram for a few months.

Yeah maybe me too

Yep, so I won't be getting any new stuff.

Well not an insane amount.

I wouldn't say too too much.

Not yet.

I already got them. I was the first picture taking student group into the new school. But the pics are on my regular FB.

Some kid in my grade brings one in 24/7 and has for the last 4 years. He isn't a very smart kid, but NOTHING has happened to it.

Linux will be madness. Some schiit the schools want you to use may not work with it. But of course, there is a work around for everything with a will. I only worry for the hipsters.

Yeah, probably new computers with Microsoft.

Yeah, probably new computers with Microsoft.

Well, you already have a MacBook Pro IIRC.

It's definitely a lot though. Possibly enough to go through a few round of TF2, depending on how fast you can get your computer set up.

Hm...

Link please since I'm too lazy to go on FB.

Linux will be fun since the school IT staff don't know anything about Linux. :D Actually, most don't since they stick with Ubuntu, Fedora, or Linux mint. IIRC not too many students like to try Debian or Arch. I know a sophomore who complained about how Arch Linux sucked, probably because it was too difficult to set up with the knowledge his puny human brain could scavenge.
