I put the avatar into Google Images and Project Diva F came up...but the tone of the image brings Shion to mind.

Anyone here know things about SSD's?

They are fast.

This, I guess.

It's easy to get in if you haven't watched much anime prior. But it's way too shounen for me. Wouldn't easily recommend it to someone who has already watched quite a few anime.

As action focused as something like Kill la Kill? That show was nice but almost too much for me. Same thing with Gurren Lagann. Stoped watching that after like six episodes.

No idea. Maybe there's a thread on the topic here. Better yet, you could ask on computer forums where experts congregate.

I have a 12 TB external hard drive array, but can't help you with any others.

12TB?!
Dude, what do you need 12TB for?!

That's what I thought. In some episodes of Blood-C, nearly the entire screen was censored for the television broadcast.

Yeah, even Higurashi was tame compared to the VN, it still managed to get the story across but a lot of the fear factor is gone.

I checked up on a few childhood favourites and they honestly aren't that scary anymore. Can't seem to find that puppy one though, when a dead puppy gets infected by a alien parasite and literally forces itself into a kids mouth, along with a ton of messed up satanic schiit. I only remember it being 2 detectives... Nothing else, weird.

Less action. Slightly more SoL, but the feel is just way too shounen for me.
I could appreciate Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill because they were over the top, FMA isn't.

I haven't seen Kill La Kill yet. If you can specify your threshold for action, I can give you more details. There is a lot of story and plot involved, so you should like it.

It's nearly full, actually. In addition to audio, I have lots of video files, including educational courses teaching how to do various things.

KlK was over the top silly. This is actual action fights, topped with some political subplots and a lot of alchemy theorizing.

Not a lot. 2-3 seasons at 1080p already filled close to 800gb for me. And that's not including OVAs, Movies, Soundtracks and such

Good sum-up. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood manages to be the most emotionally intense anime I've seen (in my experience) without resorting to over-the-top horror cliches. There are military overtones and spiritual undertones. The way the scenes are choreographed to the music is especially impressive. I could go on all day about it, but it speaks for itself.

A similar series is Attack On Titan - which is more dramatic than intense, albeit more violent, if that makes sense. I liked its soundtrack more than the anime itself.

2-3 seasons @ 1080p is close to 800 GB? What are they, BDrip raws????

Ah, I remember that rule. Back in senior high during the physics exam, everyone in the hall looked like they were making gang signs.

Yeah, I thought as much. It was just an excuse to post those GIFs!

Just got the Galaxy S4 Black Edition! Dat Note 3 leather back styling. Too bad the phone can't take pictures of itself. In the meantime, I'm just gonna install a Google Play Edition ROM onto it.

Black Edition>non-Black Edition

Why not get the s5?

Reading Lone Wolf and Cub (Kozure Ogami) lately. Pretty good, though the superhuman strength of the protagonist still annoys me. Luckily the incredible art style makes up for it. The historical detail poured into the manga is also really interesting.

Anyone got any more stuff like this? I'm looking for works similar to:
Pluto/20th Century Boys/Monster
JoJo (in particular the later parts)
Akira
Vinland Saga
Vagabond
Kozure Ogami

In short, long sagas without too much shounen BS and featuring a realistic art style. (not the immersion-breaking bland art style of many comic manga)
I still have to read Berserk, so that's one thing.

You may like Akumetsu. It, for the most part, is stuff you may not find interesting. But it really picks up later on.

Shin Angyo Onshi is also an epic favorite of mine. Same as Akumetsu in that it doesn't show much at first, but it really gets going.

And then there is Gantz and Song of the Long March which are both excellent to an extent.
Anyone here know things about SSD's?

Super Sticky Ducks? Or are you referring to Sadistical Sad Dumptrucks?

But besides that, nah. *shifty eyes*

Dat method of styling English text.

I, for some reason, was baffled for a moment. All I thought about was a Dutchman reading Japanese and then some English. And for some reason, I thought you wouldn't be able to read the Japanese English right there................ I had a second of stupidness.

If speed is what matters to you, then the Mx100 is slightly faster by pretty much all accounts. But of course, it depends on what price you can get it for.

Crucial is repsectable. The brands most are buying from right now (and that I, for the most part, agree with) are:

Samsung EVO (general jewel and preferred of system builders. Known for reliability, firmware updates, and a constant push from Samsung to continuously update and push out better SSD technology. Good price to performance to storage ratio during sales) *I've bought one and actively use one in my build

Seagate 600 (No real evidence of reliability yet as it is so new, but so far, no issues from most. From a Price to performance standpoint, it is one of the best due to how low its price is often compared to its speed and storage space) *I've bought one and actively use one in my build

Plextor - (pretty good relability, generally very fast, deals are generally inMIRs during sales) *I've bought one before
Crucial - (good reliability, decent speeds, decent price) *I've bought one before

Intel - (overpriced however, and mainly for those that want some new features or reliability, not much past that)

PNY (some don't agree with their usage of sandforce controllers, and while there are notable lackings with it, recent benchmarks of the newest PNY drives show that it performs admirably, even in tests that Sandforce drives generally suck in. These drives are good deals for new and cheap system builds)

Don't buy a Kingston SSD and Sandisk SSD's price and performance and storage, even during sales, is lackluster.

Well if you say it's too shounen for you, I can't really see myself enjoying it :/

Oh great, another anime hoarder :p

Multiple TB full of music....how?! You must have paid thousands of Dollars to purchase all this stuff legally.

Video files? Ones that are not on YouTube? Multiple TB of that?

I once starting reading Akumetsu on your recommendation already, and I dropped it after a couple volumes. The strong political flavor constantly ticked me off. I just hate the whole 'all corporations are evil' stuff. But let's not get into that topic any further here.

I have my doubts whether I'll like Shin Angyo Onshi, but it was already on my list to demo.

I've downloaded Gantz and Song of the Long March, but I've got some more promising manga downloaded as well.
