Vince, I believe hog mode is always on while BitPerfect is enabled, and is automatically turned off when the program is disabled or closed.

That's true (at least I can't switch or adjust anything in the midi window if BitPerfect is running).

Exactly my impressions so far; I have about 120 hours on the Rev 2s, and am also using BitPerfect on my Mac MIni, through a StageDAC and Violectric V200.  Best hardware/software combination I've ever had.

stagedac appreciators.  there aren't enough of us out there.

Actually the StageDAC is soon to be replaced by a Wyred 4 Sound DAC-2.  Before I got the Violectric, I was using the Stage DAC/Concerto combo; both excellent units, but I was looking for more power for the LCD-2s (the V200 puts out 2.7 watts @ 50 ohms), and a balanced DAC/amp setup.
 
In a few days, hopefully, the Meier combo will be up for sale.  I will miss them, though.

I'm sure the W4S is gonna be great.
 
in my experience, once i got used to Meier's crossfeed, even a $2200 dac doesn't seem like an upgrade.

to each their own.  i guess i've found my preferred sound...

After quite some time (weeks) it was time to unplug the rev. 2s and store them in the wooden box and fetch the rev. 1s and hook them to the V200. Ahhh. Magic once again.
 
I love the rev. 2, but can enjoy the rev. 1 as well. Their both special. In their own way.

Personally now having heard the JH's I think they are some of the most hyped phones out there. They sounded great, don't get me wrong but not $1000 great, half that price and i would say they were OK. Personally I just do not hear the mountains of difference over my ETY ER4S that people say they experience. Add in the obscene way they have dealt with the JH3A debacle and they won't be getting any of my hard earned any time soon!

Now wait for the lynch mob to do their job! :D

I do prefer portability. But if the SQ is a huge leap in favor of the lcd2 i could put up with it's size. I do not have a portable amp suitable for it and I just traded my pico slim for a 32gb sony x series walkman so i'd need a new amp either way whichever one i got.
 
Is the SQ really a gigantic leap in favor of the orthos?
