Yes, I agree. Nothing better than quality audio at a bargain price! There is a ton of information over on the review thread, so that would be worth your time while waiting for it to arrive.

Quick question: This DAC/AMP seems extremely versatile and customizable, and also in my price range. Would it be foolish to get a USB to S/pdif converter to use with it such as this one?

Hagerman Technology LLC: HagUsb

What do you think?

If you don't have optical or coaxial digital out already, then you'll need a unit like the one you gave the link too. The price is a little high (I think) but it appears to be a quality unit. Can anyone else chime in about the price?

Ciao
you have the same my own headphones (Akg701, Sony MDR 7506 ), which I drive with the ProJect Headbox and I ask you:
-Zero DAC is a significant upgrade how to headphone amp?
- Zero Dac also improves the sound of Squeezebox and CD4000 old Marantz?

Many Thanks

After being extremly impressed with my hdam 'sun' supplied by Kingwa from 'audio-gd' I'm now buying a buffer from him to place between the Zero & my preamp. This is his latest offering and it promises to outdo many similar designs...the link...

I wish to buy ZERO 24/192 DAC HEAD AMP(Upgrade Version) and to connect to emu 1212 …. However I was guarded it with article
M-Audio EX66 (review M-Audio EX66)

Having the option of a digital input is useful for those who need it, though I'm still a little cautious insomuch as there's always the possibility of your computer locking up and firing full-level digital noise into the monitor system. The monitors could probably survive, but the experience would not be a pleasant one!

I will connect Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO to ZERO DAC, and it in turn, on S/PDIF to emu 1212, very much it would not would be desirable to receive once full-level digital noise.
... if such probability?
PS Not so much I worry about equipment, how many for the ears.

Was almost going to buy the Music Hall 25.2 dac until I saw how dirt cheap this amp was in comparison. Any takers on the performance gain with the Music Hall, if any?
