Most compatible Amp for Denon avr 1609
Like the subject says, I am looking for a midrange decent amp for my Denon AVR 1609 receiver solely for home audio, not theater. I don't want to be cheap about it but I don't want to overspend given the mediocrity of my receiver, and given my small house and small living room where the system...- FiNoobie

Where to download lossless CDs
I might be out of it but is there any online store where you can download entire CDs but in lossless formats? The biggest store I used to spend hours in (TOWER) no longer exists and I hate ordering online and having to wait for CDs to be shipped. -
Recommendations for Electronica?
I dont know if this qualifies specifically as electronica but try Metro Station and Medic Droid. for Trance I would definitely get some DJ Doboy although I wouldn't know where to find it in any lossless format, only found it using a certain software that rhymes with the word "RhymeTire"... -

Are good cans and amps only necessary for Lossless?
Ratdog, great questions as I was in the same boat. I recently took the plunge and got a set of good cans and an amp. I have a DAP with thousands of MP3s and as monolith pointed out, 128 sounds bad no matter amped or not, but when I get into tracks with 192+ bitrate I can hear big differences...- FiNoobie
