I do not have them at the moment, but I do hear some sound difference between the 2 stock tips that comes with the package. I hear more treble and less bass on stock white tip as compared to stock black tip.

Would be interested to know how it compare with the stock IER-Z1R cable.

Yes! I am also very curious on the different wood play in the tonality on ear phones. Hence taking the plunge. As for the ranking list, I am not sure if there is any, but in acoustic guitar, I do hear some differences on different woods using the same body shape.

It's a very deep rabbit hole I supposed. :) Mahogany is a very nice tonewood. I like it as tonewood use on the accoustic guitar
