I just received DHL notification that my 634ears is ready to shipped but I don’t have any Eletech cable with mmcx connector. Oh no… time to ponder one …
Have fun! Do share if you decide to get an Eletech cable (all the more reason to get a mmcx one)… currently my LOAK-T is pairing wonderfully with Prudence8, with the extra power in the bass and energetic topEnvy Jemy
I plan to pair LOAK-S with Fortitude8 and see how much it enhances the extension. And much thanks to Kiats, who helped to firm up my decision on the cables

Here is the 3rd post of my Eletech Inferno impressions... and maybe the one that @Eric Chong was expecting... where I realise I had not burned the cable in enough!
After my post last week, and listening to music during the day with the LCD-X + Inferno, the sounded started to get slowly clearer and clearer! I was amazed! Apparently I had not burned in loud enough or consistently enough, relying on soft YouTube news streams during the day to add to my burn-in quota.
I have now burned in for another week, pretty much 24/7 at quite loud volume (90dB+) mix of pink/white noise.
Put simply the Inferno is fantastic, it is clean and clear, engaging, holographic and with good impact / dynamics. With the LCD-X, it fills in the sub-bass which is missing from the stock cable and makes the experience sound more complete. I feel that it also adds a touch of energy in the 3Khz-5Khz range, though I can't be sure. Snare drums are more crisp but vocals are not more sibilant than the stock cable.
What I am sure of is that it is not nearly as downward tilting as I thought after a week of burn-in!
Listening to Massive attack and the bass is enveloping my being! Without bleeding through into midrange. And the treble has a bit more energy at the attack of the note, but just slightly less energy up the very top - and I mean slightly. Different source cables (USB / Toslink) make more of a difference in this area...
And yes I need to clean up my cable situation... work in progress..

There's many theories and methodology behind burn-in ~
There's volume and there's also special burn in tracks ; There's even some talks of using specific equipment/setup for burn in. I found what works really well for me (fuss-free and yields results) is having my cables / equipment running on my usual rig at a 10-20% above listening volume without any special tracks. I've also tried running white noises but i couldn't really determine if one is better than the other.
Meanwhile so psyched to hear that you're enjoying the Inferno as days goes by

I'm a little worried about this one. I know that a lot of Head-Fiers like film scores and soundtracks, which I think Perseus is great for... but not all Head-Fiers will be at CanJam NYC 2023. I fear that a lot of people will miss out on one of the 30 units.
