Picked these up on the sale, just showed up today. They sound pretty good out of my micro bl. Still burning in, but their fit is phenomenal, and I have weird ears that can be very easily irritated if they aren't shaped right. I feel good about them so far.

I'll be honest, I would shell out a bit extra to get these cans playing too their price. I would strongly recommend the ifi micro. I love the combination, and you can get it for under $400 new from adorama from time to time. It's really a great dacamp.

It is most likely your amp. I don't know why so many people love that amp, but I couldn't stand it, it was so lean. That would be my guess anyway.

You can hear everything around you and anyone within +-20 feet (depending on listening volume) will hear everything you hear.

I personally find that headphones that fold flat like the ATs are easier to deal with than the way the VMs fold. They can just slip in along with books instead of bulking up in your bag. But, if you have room at the top of your bag or something like that, the VMs should be fine.

It's concerning that lg lost $300m+ on their mobile division list year. I really hope they keep making these phones, but chances are, they will go more mainstream to keep up, or drop high end cell phones altogether.
