JBL Synchros S200i: Heart and Soul
Look what arrived! JBL needs no introduction to the audiophile world, but perhaps they are better known for their professional line of products. Of course, as a company, their roots go back to 1945, where James Lansing left Altec Lansing to create JBL (James B. Lansing Sound). Later on...- blazer78

HiFiMAN RE300h: Black and Sleek
The RE300h is a recent product by HiFiMAN in the canalphone form factor. Priced at $49USD, the canalphones can be categorised in the entry-level segment. Apple ME186FE/A In-Ear “Headphones” Review
The ME186FE revision A is Apple’s 2013/14 refresh of their in-ear “headphones” (canalphones) with the primary difference being the softer material used for the strain relief and the inclusion of the larger in-line remote control as found on their signature “earpod” earbuds. As with the...- blazer78

Audio Technica ATH-IM70: A Bold New Direction

how to protect your ear mold impressions during shipping
So I received my ear mold impressions in their neat little box. Is it safe to just "surround" the molds with soft cotton balls, then close the box and surround that with bubble wrap?- blazer78

Audio Technica ATH-CKW1000: Through the Ages
From left to right: ATH-CKW1000ANV, CK100, CK7, CM7Ti There is a distinctive line when it comes to audio products that are under the category of monitoring and those under Hi-Fi. We see above a miniscule range of high-end (at least in their time) earphones that fall under both categories...- blazer78

Hi, I've had a replacement pair of SA6's (first edition) sent out as a replacement for my original pair that had its entire piece fractured in half. Cheapest place to get Sleek SA6?
@ Title. I also need an online store that ships to Australia. I've tried googling, but most of the stores sell it for a fairly steep price (i.e. selling it at rrp =P ). I was wondering if anyone knew where to get them cheaper? Thanks in Advance.- blazer78

Looking for the best canalphones
As the topic states, best canalphones, that means no in-ear-monitors (no shure, ety, westone etc) From my past experience, i've tried the EP630's and i hated them. Comfy to some extent, although the sound was horrible, it sounded like a Steep u-shaped EQ'd canalphone. No midrange at all. So...- blazer78

Whoa... Earbud foamies make that BIG of a difference?
So i was walking around in the city and happend to have noticed that one of AT's supplied foamies had somehow slipped off my CM7Ti's Right earbud. Was pissed, cuz i thought they were of quite high quality, luckily i have a few spares from my older earphones that aren't in use. When i slipped...- blazer78

Is there really a difference between the CM7 and CM7Ti?
Just curious about the Sound quality differences. Some people say the bass on the CM7Ti is boomier compared to the Cm7. Although based on my research it hasn't really been proven. Can anyone here confirm which sounds better? And damn buying earphones is addictive, i just received my ep-630's...- blazer78

My EP-630's Arrived!
Well out of the box, i think they sound rather great. Strong bass, upfront vocals. Although treble seems slightly veiled. Does anyone else have problems with treble? Warning to people taking apart the ksc75
I noticed some buzzing on the right channel of the clip-ons. So i pretty much assumed that there must have been dust/hair vibrating against the driver. Be warned, that the driver is covered by a plastic grill, to remove the hair, remove the grill FIRST. I used a pair of tweezers and tried to...- blazer78

Is the Sony MDR-E888 really that weak?
I've read reviews and comments on this site of people having their cables broken and their drivers destroyed. That is pretty much putting me off these earphones. However the comment that has pretty much disturbed me is someone having torn their e888 drivers by simply using a bass boost...- blazer78

E888, EX71 or Creative EP630?
Ordering either one of those tomorrow, basically, its an impulse buy I was wondering which of these 3 had the best sound quality? I'm leaning towards the E888 currently, though i have heard bad things about the E888's build quality and longevity. I've only heard good things about the ep630...- blazer78
