ATH-EM700 Series Flash!

Are you kidding me? Properly fitted, Audio Technica's ATH-CM7 earbuds had ridiculous amounts of bass, what they lacked was a lush mid-range. IIRC, the only AT portables that were really lacking in bass were the earclips, ATH-EM7, EW9, etc. And that was because they didn't really offer a good seal against ambient noise.

For an earbud, the bass quantity was to be expected. However, AT's clips really need the bass quantity of the KSC75

It appears to me that the clip design has been altered since the ew9 generation, also is it just me, or have they placed titanium coated drivers in the EM700? (See the flash preview).

Hopefully these will secure more firmly to the ear resulting in greater amounts of bass being produced.

With the exception of the EM700 series, AT's other "700" series products are cheaped out with the usage of materials. Take the CM700's cheapo plug for instance. My CM7Ti's plug is titanium coated, but the CM700's plug looks entire plastic and ugly to me.

They are moving from behind the neck style to the y-cord style in all their 700 series products.

I wonder... EW900? :drools:

After doing some research on these i stumbled upon this:

http://www.audiotstation.com/forum/s...3&page=1&pp=10

This guy claims he has the EM700 and it sounds exactly like the EM7, if thats the case, stay the hell away!

He seems rather objective to reviewing the EM700 though..

How did you know I bought the headphones in order to get the T-shirt?

I haven't even opened the EM700Ti box yet; I've been looking in the mirror for the past hour 'modeling' the T-shirt!

Absolutely stunning.. the clipping mechanism seems a bit delicate though.
