Head-Direct RE0 Appreciation Thread
Had RE0s for 5 months. Purchased through Amazon (although not from HeadDirect). The plastic housing of the earpiece crumbled last week when pulling them from my ears. I also had a number of problems with the white-ish silicone cushions not wanting to stay on. Contact HeadDirect...- kellzey

Best RCA cables for the money
Started using my Blue Jeans Cable Coax and RCA patch cables.... definitely a noticeable difference. I tried some Monoprice cables (had some lying around) and they were worse than the standard cheapies that came with my DAC. Definitely a nice upgrade!- kellzey

FLAC (External HD)>???>DAC>WA6 SE....Need Music Server help
Been there, done that... I tried an iPod, Sansa Fuze and Clip, etc. I rockboxed them and tried them with the regular software. I tried line-outs as well as feeding the amp from the headphone jacks. Nothing portable really does justice to FLAC files than a PC. (the ipod and Sansa had...- kellzey

Motherboard has two outputs.... Coaxial and Optical... which is better to input to DAC
They both ended up working fine. I think the Coax has a slight advantage. BTW, this motherboard has 24/192 output ont he optical and coax, so no need for a fancier audio card. I don't think USB can do 24/192 without special drivers.- kellzey

Equipment Placment.... DAC, Tube Amp, laptop...
Can I stack my Little Dot MKIV tube amp on top of my full-size DAC (PS Audo DLIII)? Or might I experience any sort of interferance? What about locating components side-by-side? Minimum spacing distance? Should I stick one on the left side of my Laptop, and the other on the right...- kellzey

WOW! PS Audio DLIII DAC and Little Dot MKIVse and Grado 325is
Quote: The actually pair quite nicely. I have some Sennheiser 598s coming. They are only 50 ohms, so still not that high... but curious to compare. This setup is really quite sonically beautiful. Paired with some quality source files the whole experience is really nice... and I'm...- kellzey

WOW! PS Audio DLIII DAC and Little Dot MKIVse and Grado 325is
I'm a noob to the Head-Fi scene. I picked up some Grado 325is to listen to some great jazz in FLAC format. Up until this evening, I've been feeding the Little Dot MkIVse tube amp with a FiiO L6 lineout from a Sansa Fuze player. The sound was great, but I needed to push the amp...- kellzey

Frustrated... Ipod... RockBox... FLAC files
I want a small file player that I can play FLAC files on. I would like to connect that player to my Little Dot amp via Line Out signal path and enjoy my new Grado 325is? So I did the research and heard that an iPod with RockBox was the way to go! Great, I have an iPod... Oh wait...- kellzey
