Apocalyptic RPG recommendations thread!
my nickname for planescape is 'scrollscape'. though the fallout series is more immediately playable and arguably more 'fun', i agree that planescape as a whole has a deeper universe and overall experience. planescape plays almost more like an adventure game at times than a computer RPG...- dngl

Head-Fier's Essential Software List
I think not using windows would be a good reccomendation for head-fiers. If you're a code monkey use an open source OS else use OSX. Note that windows by default upsamples your audio- yuck! not to mention that it (even XP) really acts like a consumer OS circa 99... a lot has changed in five...- dngl

Help Me Buy a New Laptop
I'd recommend a Pentium M model... i get some mad battery life from my dell 8600. I'd also recommend fitting a 7200RPM HD into your budget as that makes a huge difference in terms of perceived speed and responsiveness.- dngl

Grovers, Bogdans, Nitrogens, Cardas....
The Nitrogens are a unique cable. I think it's a secret what they do, but the end result is that you'll end up turning your amp up higher. They really sound unlike any other cable I've heard- brutally revealing, great mids, huge bass. -
WoW. Aos PPA DAC!!!
yeah it's mainly 627 in the ground, 8610 in l/r. You can do a 8610 in ground, 627 in the other positions as well, but 627 on ground is my preference.- dngl

WoW. Aos PPA DAC!!!
The PACE is a very good product. I'm still working on the full review, but here's a quick run down vs bel canto dac 2: (remember that the dac 2 is a $1300 DAC and the pace sells for $730 headamp included) so here are some loosely collected thoughts: the PACE sounds like a DAC 2 "light". The...- dngl

What's the difference between the first and second generation Cardas cable?
check the ear-piece connections and the 1/4 plug. The new ear piece connectors look more "authentc" and fit tighter and the new plug is rhodium so it's colored like uh rhodium. -
