Yea, I'm referring to the Symbios. The Zeos are basically the same thing but actually works because of the very soft foam. They block out everything, but I don't use them much as they are still tight in the ears for me.

I don't doubt it. If an IEM is "better", it should also be tonally better. Bad tuning is usually a technical issue. Ie. If the Evo was tuned properly, the mids may be congested.

I'm not aware that they have $1k IEMs that are even considered top tier.

Because US products: Are also expensive. Have a price to performance ratio that is usually worse. IMO they sound worse for the same price. This only applies to American vs. Chinese. But for these particular product, I'm sure we can wait a year and they will release a better product for cheaper...

I have the opposite opinion lol The MK1 was too harsh. The MkII is definitely one of the best IEMs ever made and its treble could still be toned down a bit.

I'm on the same boat. Mine only came with the M15. Maybe I would have liked the M20 more. Yea, I can see why someone would prefer the Z1R. It definitely had good bass, but all my music has vocals and Z1r vocals sound too far back for me.
