Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!
@Slater @candlejack I'm even less of a electrical guy than Candlejack, myself - I plug things in, they work (or not :)) - that's about it for me:), but on the IMR R1 thread there was a long discussion about the first batch of R1 Zeniths having some problems with the right piece being wired...- geagle

@candlejack Aliexpress just finished a sale for its anniversary last week ..... GU was 20% off :(. They do have sales with some regularity, but it IS some months in between, usually- geagle

@subwoof3r yeah, it is soft and flexible... gauge IS big, though, so there's physical limits to HOW much soft and flexible... in my linked post above you can have some ideas from my comments and pics, I think (here it is again, for simplicity ...- geagle

@candlejack that's hakuzen's ref number (he numbered them so that we all can uniquely identify what we are speaking about), it's mainly arbitrary (well, they were probably related to chronological order of acquisition, at least at the beginning - anyway, I'm pretty sure they're meaningless from...- geagle

Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread
eh... the "Very Large Sennheiser" eartips I'm using with my KPE look different, they look actually very similar to the Spiral Dots (very similar overall width and inner bore), just a few millimeters shorter (less "tall"), which helped (me, at least) with the KPE's stem being a bit longer than on...- geagle

Campfire - Solaris
If you ever have the opportunity (some meet or whatever), you might want give a listen to the Tralucent 1plus2 .... I have the 1plus2.2, and I find them very coherent, though they're hybrids. First post on the dedicated thread explains how they were designed to sound that way.- geagle

Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread
Generally speaking, I've usually been in the exact same situation, with the "L" JVC Spiral Dots being my go-to tip to use (and I tried a LOT of them, lol) - in about 90%+ of cases they also usually sound the best for my ears. Some others that I CAN use (=I can get a seal), and that a very few...- geagle

DX220 A new view to your music. *** LATEST FW: 1.19 Local *** Link for User Guide 1st Page.
@rutter I have both the ZX300 and the DX200 (TI version). DX200TI is technically better (and I expect that will hold also for the standard DX200 - though I don't KNOW that, as I only ever heard the DX200TI). With some IEMs, though, I actually personally prefer using the ZX300 (like the CL2) -...- geagle

Sony NW-ZX300
eh... Paint is the basic Windows program that handles images, comes standard with the operating system. I'd think that the Mac may have something similar? You just need something "stupid" (Paint definitely qualifies) that will handle the conversion on the fly by just copy/paste. Photoshop will...- geagle

Sony NW-ZX300
Mainly yes - only real problem you might have is that the ZX300 (or maybe all Sony Daps in general) does not like the image if its format is a progressive jpeg (compressed)... if that happens (your tags have a progressive JPEG image), the ZX300 won't display it. Easy fix, if you have a Windows...- geagle

Best IEM tips?
@Sound Eq they should be the Spiral Dots + , which came stock with the JVC FD01, and were previously unavailable as an accessory separately from accompanying earphones... I had some impressions here ...- geagle

The Zishan dsd's corner
If one uses google translate to translate the contents of the txt file included in the FW update (the one with the chinese name and ".txt" :)), this is what you get: Firmware Update Guide: 1. Enter the setting interface to see if the interface displays "ZiShan DSD 0.4I". If it is, there is no...- geagle
