"I Give it a Year" - had a few laughs, but otherwise just kind of stupid...Im only mentioning it because if you get the opportunity to see it just for the Stephen Merchant scenes, it's worth it. The guy is hilarious over about 5-10min of total screen time. 

  The original holds up so well, too...I get into it every time I come across it. Fantastic film. 

  Yep, I swear by his crossfeed circuit. I love that I can only really notice it when I dont have it. If it stood out on each track I'd consider it a poor design. It helps headphones sound more natural, thus less noticable that you're listening that way.    I've been using his gear for years...

  Definitely not my experience. Jan's crossfeed circuit allows for a more natural prsentation across the board to my ears. It's usually when I am without it that I can tell the difference...not so much when I have it engaged. To me, that's a sign that it's a beautiful design. 

    You usually don't like Spielberg, Bond films, or Wes Anderson? Might be easier to just say what you DO like...the list would be a lot shorter, methinks lol

  That's what kept happening to me when I listened while laying in bed...I'd doze off lol. 

  That's actually a great idea...listening while watching a sporting event. See, this is why I ask you guys...GENIUS!!

I get the feeling La La Land is going to be sort of similar to Birdman, in the sense that critics really appreciate the artistry and technical merit, but many will find the story sort of abstract and borderline boring. For those who have seen both, is that accurate at all? Or am I way off base?
