I sort of reckon that the Vibro MK2 are the bargain of the group, at least if you're into equal loudness curves.

Was that included in yesterday's article?

Has anyone ever requested custom tuning on their Vibro's? I see on the site that it may incur an additional cost. Would an increased bass response with emphasis on sub-bass cost any extra?

Vibro's that are bought directly from us get a free retune for the cost of shipping to your preferences.  WE can alter the amount of bass and/or treble toy our liking within reason.  If it's a use set there's a small fee.

If looking for sub-bass the Blackwood is just better at low low bass and can be tuned to have extra mid bass. It's hard to achieve the sub bass rumble without our driver enclosure modifications which are available in the Blackwood and Omni.

Hope that helps, definitely PM or email me if you need anything!

Gorgeous set of Bocote Blackwoods sent out last week.  I was jealous of the new owner upon shipment....ugh...I need to make one of these for myself one of these days!

Good afternoon everyone!

My name is Zeke and I was wondering if there's somewhere around where I could get a ZmF Blackwood on loan to compare to my Hifiman HE-560s (if a stock version even exist, I understand this headphone is quite customizable, please excuse my ignorance if I said anything wrong. I'm in the search for another headphone.

I'm just looking for a headphone with ....
- A quality soundstage (Surround sound like with a bit of height and depth, if that makes sense, my 560s favored a more intimate soundstage and I'm looking for something else in that department),
- Precise imagining (may have given the T90s some flac earlier but the imagining on them was actually quite decent).
- Clean well extended bass that's quick and well controlled. (The 560s did all these pretty well, I did feel as though they could have had a bit more impact, Is even deeper bass possible?)
- Great detail retrieval (I favor treble over headphones that are deemed "too polite" so headphones with blanketed highs like Audeze's LCD line wouldn't really do it for me).
- Mids (I'm unsure here, mids that will allow vocals and the music to shine, loved the airy presentation of my 560s in this department but I'm open to other presentations)

I guess what I'm trying to say is something that's quite musical without losing the detail and quality of a high end. I want something that not only blows me away with its quality but has me feeling like I wasn't crazy spending what I did on them. I do know of the increase in diminishing returns the higher you go and certainly won't be expecting perfection.

I sincerely apologize if I'm sound too demanding here. The 560s are still my favorite pair so far but I still know I haven't reached my "ideal" headphone yet.

Weird question but I was wondering if someone could give me the widest diameter of the Omni cups, pad side, in millimeters?

Thanks, Joshua

Edit: Sorry, posted here before I saw that there was a separate omni thread.

Does ZMF have a 4th of July sale?

No specific sale through ZMF, we are releasing some new woods next week.

Omni cups are 100mm in Diameter.  But yeah - Omni thread might get more interest!

Meant to post this earlier so my apologies!  We will be running 50 units of the ZMF x Vibro MK II MassDrop Rusted Zebra edition tomorrow 7/5/16.  Felt guilty that so many people missed out last time.  Hopefully everyone who wants one can get in on the action!  I believe the drop starts around 8 or 9am EST.
